A cute little farming sim with a charming aesthetic. Not as deep or complex as bigger entries in the genre like Stardew Valley, but it's not trying to be; it's a five dollar game that will suck you in without taking too much of your time. If you want to spend a couple of chill hours with a simple 8-bit farm, this game is definitely worth a play.
It' a fun and simplistic game.
Well, I initally reviewed this game as ''Not Recommended'' but seeing the dev's care for their game and how fastly they fix the bugs, I'll give it a thumbs up. I think it still has some ways to go in terms of content and polish, but right now with it's simplicity in gameplay it's one of the most chill, turn your brain off and listen to a podcast kind of game out there.
This game is great. It is so therapeutic! I enjoy the chill nature of planting and cultivating my own orchard, and the additional challenges and tasks the game provides. It gives you the feel of playing an old Gameboy game, and brings back the nostalgia of a Tamagotchi pet as you have to care for your orchard each day. I feel like the game is paced well, and grows along with the player. I would highly recommend, and it's a great price.
Fed up of games that lack the most basic of options like a windowed mode or volume controls. Options that every single PC game released in the last quarter of a century can and should have as standard. Completely unacceptable incompetence.
I have only an hour on Bit Orchard so far but I really like it. It is fun, retro, has good art and a good soundtrack. I definitely recommend this game if you want a relaxing game to play for a good price.
I like GB Harvest Moon, so I wanted to try this. Chiptunes and gridding out my orchard is fun, but it felt a bit lonely with just a rabbit and some crows. Obviously the late-game experience will change these when I get there, but the initial experience gave me some ideas. If you've spent time on a backwater farm, there's a simulated element here that matches perfectly: the attention span shrinks to whatever you can impact, quickly. The gameplay loop quickly flattened when I realized my farm experience was gated by apple harvests, which were gated by sleeping. There's probably more to discover and explore and befriend, but a fundamental feeling of 'too much to do at once' supports the sublime farmer spirit beyond planting and watering seeds. I promise you I can plant smart grids and speed-water them, but if I don't even have a chair to cutely doze off in beside the farmhouse the neighbours will gossip about the new guy sleeping 16 hours a day. Nuts and bolts. I had to restart at 7PM on day one because I immediately forgot the controls. I'm a fan of there being a special thanks section, but that's not something I might read twice, meanwhile displaying controls in the menu would help people like me who forget controls unless I'm reinforcing the lesson immediately. I also found changing the music a little confusing - sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't, and I wasn't sure why. Fortunately all the songs are lovely. Abject loneliness. The announcement picture is my inspiration here, because I would be sad if I thought my farm was going to remain as friendless as my first two weeks on it were. More NPCs would raise the stakes; I'm not just farming, I'm fitting into some socius. I ran out of my house too quickly one day and got trapped between the mailbox and a delivered package. Fortunately it was a swift 14 hours before sweet sleep dropped me back in my bed. Will play again.
Sanal bebeğe benziyor :D
the game has good potential but it needs a wiki about everything (even achievements)
Cute and simple game about taking care of your apple orchard. ^w^ Very nice game for achievement hunters too ♥
