About

This has been a solo dev passion project for several years with help here and there. But pre/production is now finished with full dedicated server support. And currently building a small team to make the final stages.
Birthright is a multiplayer medieval sandbox RPG where every journey begins the same way: with nothing but ambition. Explore a living medieval world, recruit followers to your cause, build thriving settlements, command armies in battle, forge alliances with powerful families, and pursue your own path to power.
Your story begins with a Tarot reading. The cards offer you a unique starting path, shaping the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. But your destiny is never certain. The greatest legends are not those who follow fate… they are those who overcome it.
In a realm where powerful families compete for influence and kingdoms rise and fall through war, diplomacy, ambition, and betrayal, every decision matters. Death is permanent, legacies pass through generations, and new dynasties emerge from the ashes of old ones.
Every choice creates new opportunities. Every setback presents new challenges. Every victory brings you closer to leaving your mark on the realm. Will you become a wealthy merchant, a respected noble, a feared warlord, or the ruler of a thriving kingdom?
Birthright is a player-driven sandbox experience focused on progression, exploration, politics, and storytelling. Rather than following a linear narrative, you'll create your own goals, forge your own alliances, and leave your mark on a world shaped by the actions of its inhabitants.
Your story has yet to be written.

Back in 1989, the Gaming Studio STARBYTE releases a Game that got a very big Fanbase in a really short Time. The Game got an amazing Title Theme from Jochen Hippel and got an addicting Genre Mix. Trade to raise your Army, wander around the Lands and one Day you got Revenge on your Familys Murder, the Medusa itself. Yes, i´m speaking about the Legendary RINGS OF MEDUSA. A true Legend that got a second Part. That brings us to this Game. Welcome to BIRTHRIGHT. At first, BIRTHRIGHT is NOT a Remake or something from RINGS OF MEDUSA (R.O.M.), but it got this Concept. You start with nearly nothing and you can trade and get Quests for Raising your Army. Like in R.O.M. you wander around the Map, visit Citys and explore the World. But in BIRTHRIGHT you battle against other Families to be the Best oft he Best to get on the one and only Throne. Yes it is Game of Thrones, yes. It also is a very big Sandbox, done in Medieval Setting, with many Nice Ideas, like having own settlements. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2340859425 Another nice Idea, the creating of your Character based on Tarot Cards. Yes, we know this from ULTIMA. I also love the Choice of Portraits for your Character and the Family Crest. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2340860007 That added also RPG Elements to this Game which is more as it on first look seems. That goes also for the Battles. That feels like MOUNT & BLADE. Real Time Battle and you inside it. It was fun riding on my Horse through Enemy Lines. A very nice Idea. Speaking about a nice Idea, i also like the Dialogues in the Game. Wonderfull Old School Writing. There is also a Multiplayer Server and MOD Support. Everything you need to have much fun. The Music is very ambient and i really like it. Would be nice to get a Soundtrack for buying. The Devs did an amazing Job with this Retro based Genremix. They tried something ne wand combined nice Elements. BIRTHRIGHT is no R.O.M., but it stands on its own feets. Oh i forgot, and like in R.O.M. 2, you can also visit Dungeons. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2340861025 BUT please notice it is Early Access. That means there is much to do and polish and yes there is more to come. The Developer work hard on it and they also overworked the Battlesystem to the Better. Thanks to the Developer for taking me to their very big BIRTHRIGHT World, i really enjoyed this Visit. BIRTHRIGHT is special. You should have a look at the Videos before deciding if you buy it. Thank you for Reading. [h1][url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/26335619-Adult-World-Gamers/] If you like this Review and want to read more like this then Follow our AWG Curator! Game have good potencial. But dont buy it now, wait like a half year. Game crash and is unbalanced. it is fun but the thing when they kill me and magicaly all of my soldiers are dead is dum. Sorry for my gramar. If there is something how to make it better or if i just play it wrong, please advice. Edit: Well. I tried to play it after like a year. I am pleased that the developers are working on it but it is not enough. From last i played lot of things were added and some problems where fixed. The game do not crash. On other hand i find it in unplayable state curently. The game bugs so mutch that i was unable to do anything. The soldires do not consider land like something thay shoul stand on and fall trough it. Sometimes i fall too. I wasnt able to get somewhere to talk about more stuf. I will play after another year. I have big expectations from this game. I programe games too so i know how hard it can be but i worry if it going to be in this state after a year that it never will be in playable state.
The 1.0 patch is a great step forwards that's made the game a lot more fun to play. It takes a while to get the hang of combat and it feels rewarding when you stop dying and start getting the hang of things. I really like the feeling of open exploration and the text-based dialogue that gives the game a nice old school vibe. Graphics are nice and crisp and the game feels stable. I don't have a lot of time to play these days, but I look forward to seeing what's been changed and added. This is my first time jumping on the early release bandwagon and I can finally say that I get the hype. Anyone looking for a fun way to hack and slash away a few hours should check this out.
I spent the first 89 minutes I "played" this trying to just start the game. The buttons were bugged out and wouldn't let me advance the character creation screen. Then I finally get in after restarting 4x and the AI is so bad you when starting the battle you are sometimes placed inside the enemies you are fighting. This is a perma death game. If you can't reliable make battles fair as far as starting positions, you are screwed by the game and NOT your ability. I just can't play this. It's not remotely close to worth paying for. I LOVE the idea, but it's NOT ready. There are so many quality of life fixes that are needed in a game with perma death. Oh and NO PAUSE!!!! You will hate this aspect. You can't stop and think. When this is updated significantly, I'll come back, but now I am requesting a refund.
This might take the cake for the worst interface I've ever seen put into a game. On top of that, I tried several combats and every time was spawned underneath the ground. Because of this, I'm not sure what is here qualifies as playable. Aside from that, there seems to be a lot going on in the game, but I was completely lost as to what to do or how.
Been playing a few days now and its getting more interesting each time i play, not found any major bugs or game breaking bugs, just one thing that might need changing is when you eventually get killed you gota start again, theres no load game screen once you die so you need to go through the start again creating a character, maybe on that screen you can put a load game , but apart from that its great.
