About
Biolum is a 30 minute narrative experience with light interactivity.
Biolum brings us on an immersive mission into the deepest depths of the ocean to explore the abyss through the perspective of scientific researcher Rachel, voiced by Dominique Tipper (The Expanse). Rachel is guided by expedition leader Eva, a renowned marine scientist, played by Charlotte Rampling (Denis Villeneuve's Dune). As we discover the mysteries of this bioluminescent VR underworld, it becomes clear that this relationship is not as simple as we thought…
Rachael discovers that a luminescent parasite is infecting the ocean flora and fauna. Glowing hybrid underwater oddities swim around us as Rachel and Eva try to understand the scientific meaning. The beautiful bioluminescence is wreaking havoc on the natural ecosystems. How could this have happened and what does it mean?
In this VR story, nothing is as it seems. What’s beautiful very quickly reveals itself to be contagious, and perhaps more dangerous than ever imagined. As Rachel gets infected by these parasites, she faces a mesmeric fight for her mind and body. Inspired by the beauty of deep sea life, Biolum blurs the lines between biological truth and sci-fi and taps into existential themes and cosmic wonder of the great unknown.
Light interactivity woven throughout that advances the storyline and encourages you to become Rachel and immerse yourself into her exploration

Ridley Scott and Lovecraft had a baby, and it's perfect.
wow wish height was adjustable 9/10
TL;DR - It's a good game idea, but nowhere near enough. Picked up this game because it sounded fun and had some fun implications. The VR controls are ok, but exceptionally simplistic. Unfortunately, the pacing is almost ridiculously fast. It plays more like a game demo than a game itself. There's also the problem of setting up the space to work well with VR. You can easily be looking the wrong direction when X happens because of the way of setting is orchestrated and being distracted from looking in a given direction. All in all, it's a good start, but feels like it needs to take a page from games like SOMA and some VR cave games to make it great.
A fantastic experience, looking forward to more of these
Nice scenario with some scary moments. Underwater experience in VR can cause dizziness more or less, perhaps sitting in a chair than standing while playing would be more convenient in this case. The only downside of this project is the quality of the assets: very lowpoly, very poor textured for nonsense.
Wow, breathtaking
5/10
The narration is painful, really ruins the experience for me.
7/10 Worth only at sale, as its a 30 mins. Sci-Fi cinematic VR experience. but the quality of experience is great, wish it was a full game. a note, using H265 or HEVC (10bit) doesn't help with color banding.
(PSVR2) Короткое линейное приключение. Плывем вперед, слушаем диалог и любуемся подводным миром.
