I can imagine that this could be a fun game. BUT ! tutorial is just useless when in actual game You would need to understand how in the h*ll Can i make all cures. I mean I really tried understanding how the recipes work. But got stuck at the beginner level. Summasummarum: Seems nice, but too difficult to casual weekend gamer.
As a biologist and someone who has worked in a pharmacy, I can definitely recommend Big Pharma. It’s a great blend of business management simulation and logistics/puzzle gameplay. Designing production lines, improving efficiency, and optimizing workflows feels both fun and satisfying. The simulation aspect works really well too—perfect for anyone who enjoys building, running, and upgrading systems.

Might just be me tired of early access and buying broken/bugged out games, but Big Pharma is fun. Its like packer deluxe of Satisfactory, which is like a strange Tetris of trying to fit the factory inside the spaces you purchase. All while mixing together A Sim City or Rollercoaster Tycoon like company management, through higher and lower counting game for drug effectiveness and profit margins. Game is definitely fun but the top down graphics feels out dated, like we are back in 98' playing Pokemon red and blue again. NGL I would buy the game again in a 3D or VR version pulling some more levers, pushing some more buttons, or screwing together machines and belts along with company management. 7.8/10
I have a soft spot for Big Pharma because it introduced me to the factory genre long ago. Many of the ideas here were developed in Production Line which is an improvement in many respects. The premise is simple, you are a pharma company that is making generic drugs and developing IP with these drugs to create a market advantage over your competitors. As you research more equipment you will be able to create drugs with different delivery mechanisms (syringes, capsules, creams) and trademark those. The bad side is the new equipment typically requires a significant reworking of your production lines and when you are running multiple lines in a small space it becomes more unwieldy and somewhat less interesting to manage it all. All in all this is a good enough game, I wish they would go back and add more to it or develop it into something else but the reality is the developer has moved on to Megaquarium which has a bigger audience and earning potential This is a cautious recommendation. 7/10
good game gang, try it out
muito bom
I've had this game sitting mostly unplayed in my library since 2017. Only a few days ago did I finally sit down and make an evening of it. It's been a good 16 hour binge over the past few days. This is a tycoon game built around automation puzzles, not a full automation game like Factorio or Satisfactory. Once I got that through my head, it was a great time. Learning how to get the start of a scenario off the ground and pumping up the late-game numbers for the Expert and Master thresholds are so far both fun challenges. There's some nice meta-progression in the form of two perks that you pick at the start of a given scenario, things like getting a full refund on selling machines (otherwise you lose money when removing machines or belts), extra starting money, reduced negatives from side effects, faster research speed, and some others that take a little more explaining. These perks range from a nice bonus (i.e. the extra starting money) to huge changes that can shape a strategy. There's a lot of room for custom scenarios too, should the (rather large) built-in list be lacking for the current mood or player. Big Pharma doesn't get to the massive scale and complexity of pure automation games, but there's still plenty to optimize and play with due to working with machines built like Tetris blocks in a limited space while also needing to keep your finances moving in the right direction. There's also plenty of shenanigans to get up to on the business side, with the usual, warranted jabs at the for-profit pharmaceutical industry like influencing clinical trials, filing patents, and funding disease awareness campaigns to get people to buy more of your products. All in all, Big Pharma is a good tycoon game built around a satisfying amount of automation puzzles. It rewards optimization without demanding it the entire time you're playing, which I'm personally very fond of. It also allows a few different approaches to the base goal of making money (which you'll need to do to meet other goals anyway). 9/10, with the last point being withheld only because the NPC "competitors" don't even pretend to follow your rules on research or ingredient access. They're still perfectly manageable.
