I want to preface this by saying that I am a fan of walking simulators. I like scary ones, funny ones, and ones that seem to defy all definitions. This is a walking simulator in a heavily pixelated and dark style. I found the art style to be very distracting and confusing, to the point where I often found myself turned about. This was a HUGE distraction from the game's ambiance. It is a shame, because a glance online seems to show that they made a VR version without the heavy pizelation...I would have much preferred to have played that version instead. The next problem is how slowly the character moves. Sometimes, it's like watching a loading bar slowly progressing across the screen. It means that this game quickly loses it's charm as you stare at the same blurred scenery as you slowly make your way to where you THINK you are supposed to go. According to a random post in the discussion boards, I think the dev said you can change this with the = button, but I hadn't seen that at the time of playing. Another big problem is that the Escape button instantly closes the entire game out, erasing all progress. If your dog starts barking, or baby crying, or you want to check the options...and you forget about the escape button (or didn't know), then you lose ALL progress without any confirmation and have to start all over. This is a HUGE problem...even escaping to a menu rather than immediately exiting would've been a huge help. I did like the narration, and I think the general concept and writing is solid. There are just some baffling gameplay choices here that ruin the overall experience.

Is this a videogame, musical piece, an art gallery, a dream, liminal experience? Don't know. But it is a beautiful thing. Thank you for making this "Game".
Incredible game, and ss being in this game, awesome...
one of the most beautiful experiences I've had. it's an amazing game.
Ending part
where you walk through all of the home videos
gave me chills, as did the last song. Visuals are beautiful, unique, and evoke the headspace that the narration puts you in. Walking speed is a little slow and I got lost a few times, but I don't think the dev was trying to make a game where you always know where to go next and you get there quickly. As someone who lost a parent to health issues at a fairly young age, this struck a chord with me in terms of the mixed emotions you can feel for the one you lost, the struggle to make something meaningful out of that void, as well as the anger and confusion you can feel about the world they brought you into and the more intimate one that they built for you, whether you liked it or not.
I honestly don't really know what to say about this game. It was really trippy. If you like that then it's only a dollar so you should probably just get it. It's good for a buck. It was really bad performance wise though. It wouldn't run at 60 fps for me. I am used the steam deck. I limited the fps to 30 and it would still bounce around a lot but its not that bad. A game like this is fine at 15 fps honestly. If you play on controller you can't run (unless you map the button) so know that (you will want to run, walking is super slow and it's a walking sim). It is so poor performance wise that I have never actually finished the game, as it would crash before I could do so (I tried twice). If you have a buff PC then maybe you will get to see the ending. Or maybe it's because I played on Linux. Also this game does have content such as: A bowling pin saying the f word 50 times, a school shooting that's highly implied but never outright said (it's obvious), and more swear words. It's not that bad honestly. There is a really sus part but it's a guy saying something suggestive. But this game also has suicidal themes as well. Just know when I said trippy I meant trippy. It's $0.99... and it was worth it. I enjoyed my experience and the voice acting is really good.
I don't usually play walking simulators, and I had no clue what was going on most of the time, but the music, narration, and stylistic choices were all top-tier.
Bizarre
8/10 Visuals/OST/Atmosphere - amazing Dialogues - hit-and-miss for me Level design - i've got lost few times Walking speed is way too slow Overall, I've enjoyed it a lot. Hope to see more from you Ben And the price is ridiculously low for the amount of effort that went into this game
jogo pesado, com uma historia muito linda do criador do jogo por tras.
