Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Rust, except there's only one climate, nobody else in the world but you, and you can't go in interiors. Also it's made in Unreal Engine, but coulda fooled me. A barebones game you probably got in a key bundle.
Even the menus don't work properly. This can't even be considered a proper game.
poor man's Long Dark it's a walking simulator with very basic survival mechanism

ENG I can't call this game interesting, but I liked it. A pleasant soundtrack that conveys the full atmosphere of solitude in the winter cold forest. A one-time game, suitable for getting achievements and "perfect game". It's a pity that there are no collectible cards. Very demanding, I have a low output of 20-40 fps. I reminded them of the Noise game with my requirements. I can't recommend it, but at the same time I can say that the game is crap. For everyone to their own taste.
Before Nightfall is a survival-focused indie title developed and published by Pickle Drugs, built around a straightforward concept that transforms limited mechanics into a tense and focused challenge. Rather than expanding into large crafting systems, combat encounters, or open-world exploration, the game takes a more stripped-down approach to survival design. It places players into a freezing wilderness where success depends on preparation, awareness, and managing limited resources under constant environmental pressure. The premise immediately establishes urgency. Players awaken within a harsh winter landscape where cold temperatures are not simply environmental decoration but the primary threat standing between survival and failure. The objective sounds simple enough on paper: gather enough firewood, keep a campfire burning, and survive until darkness arrives. However, the simplicity of those goals becomes deceptive as the game gradually reveals how much pressure can emerge from limited time and dangerous conditions. The forest environment plays a major role in shaping the experience. Snow-covered terrain and harsh weather conditions create a setting that constantly reinforces vulnerability. The wilderness feels isolated and unforgiving. There are no armies of monsters or supernatural threats waiting in the shadows. Instead, nature itself becomes the enemy. Every decision to leave safety introduces risk, and every second spent away from warmth creates tension. Resource gathering serves as the central gameplay mechanic. Firewood appears randomly throughout the environment, forcing players to move carefully through dangerous conditions while balancing efficiency against survival. Time spent exploring becomes increasingly valuable because daylight remains limited. Gathering too cautiously may leave players unprepared, but moving recklessly can expose them to unnecessary danger. This balance creates the core challenge driving the entire experience. One of the game’s strongest qualities comes from how effectively it builds tension through restraint. Many survival games rely on extensive progression systems, large crafting trees, or layered mechanics to create engagement. Before Nightfall takes the opposite approach. It reduces survival to a handful of core ideas and commits fully to refining them. The result feels more focused than many larger survival projects despite offering a smaller overall scope. Time management becomes the defining skill separating success from failure. Players cannot simply wander freely collecting resources without consequences. Planning movement routes, minimizing wasted time, and making efficient decisions become critical parts of progression. Small mistakes often create larger problems later, reinforcing the importance of discipline and awareness throughout every attempt. The random placement of resources helps strengthen replay value despite the game’s limited structure. Firewood locations changing between sessions force adaptation rather than memorization. Familiarity improves survival chances, but no run unfolds exactly the same way. This unpredictability gives repeated attempts enough variation to remain engaging while encouraging players to improve efficiency over time. Visually, Before Nightfall creates atmosphere effectively through environmental simplicity. The snowy forest setting communicates isolation well, helping strengthen immersion despite the smaller production scale. The world does not rely on visual excess to create mood. Instead, the cold landscape itself becomes a source of tension that supports the survival mechanics naturally. The game also benefits from pacing that remains focused and deliberate. Sessions avoid unnecessary distractions and remain centered almost entirely on survival priorities. There are no complicated side systems interrupting progression. The experience consistently reinforces its central objective without losing focus. That focused design naturally introduces some limitations. Players looking for large-scale survival sandboxes or extensive progression systems may discover a narrower experience than expected. Resource gathering remains the dominant activity throughout gameplay, and mechanical variety stays relatively limited. The game succeeds through refinement rather than expansion. Longer sessions may also reveal repetition more quickly than larger survival projects. Because the experience revolves around a smaller collection of mechanics, enjoyment depends heavily on appreciating efficiency-focused gameplay loops rather than expecting major surprises or evolving systems. However, much of the game’s appeal comes directly from those limitations. Before Nightfall understands what it wants to deliver and avoids unnecessary complexity. Pickle Drugs creates an experience centered on environmental survival pressure rather than attempting to compete with larger genre titles through feature count alone. For players who enjoy survival games built around atmosphere, resource management, and focused challenge rather than crafting depth or combat systems, Before Nightfall offers a compact but engaging experience that demonstrates how effective simple mechanics can become when supported by strong tension and thoughtful pacing.
