A pretty decent visual novel. It's essentially a fairly stereotypical isekai setting where a normal dude gets sent into a fantasy universe, with the catch being that he has another human able to guide/help him with his phone, and the fantasy world is full of anthropomorphic animals as it's only sentient species. It's pretty basic, just a text based visual novel with 12 images total to unlock. It can feel a bit slow because of it's design as a phone game meant to simulate texting, but once you get an ending, you can start skipping through the protagonist messages if you've already seen them before, and there's a fast forward mode to make him text faster too. Now do I recommend this game? I'm in the middle. I'll give it a thumbs up for the cheap price. For positives, the story is cute and what little art that exist, is nice. If I'm being honest though, only play if you're ok with simple, sort of silly fantasy storys. The smartphone idea sort of falls apart when our protagonist is somehow texting us in the heat of mortal danger, and the plot isn't really anything deep or interesting by fantasy standards. It's fairly standard isekai fair, right down to corny battle and power quotes and the like late game. If you're ok with a simple, short, cute fantasy text adventure like I am, go for it. It's not like it puts your wallet back much. For a final note, I liked both of the anthro members of the main cast, aesthetically at least. Very handsome lads. The character writing and development is fairly shallow though, and by end game it really doesn't feel like we got to know them much at all as characters. Edit: Oh right. I almost forgot. I got all of the achievements and endings, except for the "Marching Onward" achievement. It seems like, in order to actually get that one, you have to select every single unique choice in the game, including the same choices that count as 'separate' choices later in the game depending on splits you may or may have not taken earlier in the game. I'm not against achievement grinding if I like a game enough, or it's easy enough to get it, but that's pretty tedious so I passed on that one. Just a fair warning for anyone reading this.
I wanted to like it, but the idea of a phone conversation is just not that good. Interesting, yes, but not that good. The story advances too slowly, and if you miss a message then it gets all screwed up. Sure, checking in every 10 hours doesn't sound that bad, but something came up one day and I missed one, so off the rails it goes. Adding a timeshift just feels like a bad bandaid. The experience is still shallow. Also, the idea of not being the isekaid one/the one that gets the husbando and forced to be an onlooker is just... certainly one of the ideas of all time.
Man I love playing this since as a teen in my phone but now I'm glad this came on steam
Good Game
