Beauty and the Beast is a hidden object game with 15 different levels. Some of them are single screens, some of them panoramas you need to scroll through. You earn points by quickly finding the objects and then are shown your score on the online leaderboard. Overall I thought the graphics were sub-par -- they could certainly use higher resolution versions of things. I also didn't particularly like the panoramas -- I simply found them more annoying than anything else -- scrolling around and around hoping to find whatever you're looking for. As for any sort of story; there is just a single sentence between levels. As for replayability; you can go for a higher score but it's really just a memory game at that point. I don't know, it's only $3, but I wasn't overly impressed.
Not my favorite type of hidden objects game, but an OK game nontheless. If you are a fan of the genre, then I'd say consider giving this a try.
Well...the german translation is terrible and the Hidden Object scenes are horrible because of that....I often search for the wrong items or the items are so badly hidden that you just cant see them....its a joke. There are better games from this dev like Time trap or Waxmuseum. But this one? nah skip it....
A nice and simple hidden object game that obviously tells the traditional folk tale of Beauty and the Beast. One of my main complaints would have to be that I didn't really enjoy the scrolling/panorama HOG screens- especially with how sneakily the Devs hid the objects. I personally liked the straight forward scenes more, but I will say that the scrolling feature is interesting and a bit more challenging with the addition of the Steam Leaderboards. Overall, Beauty and the Beast: Hidden Object Fairy Tale is a nice and simple game to 100% for a cheap price- definitely gonna recommend it for the avid and casual HOG fan.
Good game, even better music !
The story is a bit lame but the artwork is lovely and the music is so good. I ignored the story and just enjoyed the pretty hidden object scenes totally chilling out to the music. Achievements are very easy to get. It's cheap to buy and well worth the price.
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
Baah just pixel hunting. no story or anything fun.
Poca roba qui,,, non credo nemmeno che valga 3 euro. Se state valutando l'acquisto vi consiglio di risparmiare per prendere giochi più validi. E ce ne sono tanti...
Very basic and barebones hidden object game, with almost zero attempt to craft any form of in-game narrative. It is really just a series of low resolution hidden object puzzles with a text box/image between screens, loosely retelling the legend of Beauty and the Beast. The music is heinously repetitive, and some of the objects are mislabeled (or at least play fast and loose with what they should actually be called. Having said that, the hint system and preview system are decent, and ultimately how much decently crafted narrative do you need to look for hidden objects? It's got trading cards and achievements if those are your bag (they are mine!) It's extremely bare-bones, and nothing special at all, but if you can get it on sale the gameplay is about as fun as you can expect from an HOG. Barely recommended.
