I like it!
Fun, arcadey style game. My first video game was a top-down side scroller and this game feels nostalgic. The graphics are clean and it runs well. I look forward to putting some hours into this game, as the skill tree allows for a lot of creativity.
This would be my first top down twin stick shooter game. That being said i'm not the best but I still find it fun. I think the design and sound make a really great way to show the story behind the game. Which adds more to the game as you try to beat the levels against T.O.M.. In the game you can gather more skills and use them your advantage to beat each level. I however prefer the rogue mode which just put me into the game with a random abilities. The game is well thought out and has constant updates giving players the best version of the game to complete against T.O.M.. I believe players should play the story mode and give the rouge mode a try for a fun and diverse experience.
Fun twin stick game with lots of build options. Also a ton of different game modes: story, rogue, survivor, and gauntlet. I've personally had a ton of fun with survivor mode!
My friend played with me its pretty nice
An Honest Review from a Lefty - So in every game I play I check to see how convenient it is to make a game left handed, but besides using a game controller, there isn't customization of the keyboard. The game is obviously playable and enjoyable, I just always check that first. - The interface is pretty clear, but you can't back track when you enter some menus. EX: Gauntlet doesn't let you return to the main page after you clicked it, unless there is a key bind or part of the HUD that I am missing. My only other issue is when neon parts of the HUD overlap with other neon parts in the map making it hard to read. - In terms of level design, I generally don't enjoy when games have consistent re-spawning enemies, it does make getting further into the level more difficult since enemies come from other directions infinitely. I could just be bad and find it annoying cause of lack of skill relative to how much I played. Some parts of maps feel just a bit too claustrophobic, but they are doable and keeps players from just easily kiting enemies. - Sound design, the music is alright and since it's on the simpler side it doesn't get annoying. Voice acting is alright, for the most part I'm indifferent about it, TOM would be my favorite based on how he is voiced. My favorite part of the game would be gauntlet, it's the closest to a roguelite feel since you use what you got with 7 points and gun it. There's only one map, but that doesn't kill the fun of it for me personally. I wish you could have an independent progression in it and maybe have permanent buffs for playing it and how far you get. My least favorite part is Assembly Circuit, after dying the 20th time in a session the music drop me nuts, the map drove me nuts, the enemies drop me nuts. Also the fan auto is kinda annoyingly loud, even with turning it down, but you still need to hear it so you know you're being hit. What would be cool is if there existed a sandbox mode where players could make their own maps and have it be featured on a weekly updating page. The reward for beating player made maps could maybe be token that could eventually let you buy ship skins that are unique to playing the player-made maps.
game was gifted to me by a friend game was alright
Honestly, When the game came out i was not a fan, over the past 2 years i can see the love put into the game. The changes are good and totally worth a try if you are looking for a fun game to pass a few hours of your time.
