It's like Beat Hazard 1 & 2 ... but it's 3!
Kinda unique and cool, especially the open mic for music. Gameplay gets a touch repetitive, but there's lots of content packed in here.
THE BEATIEST!!
epic game very smooth easy to setup no problems what so ever just amazing
I've loved this game since it came out on the iPhone years ago. Want a peak experience? Set it to Open Mic, Play Ken Carson - EDM and put it on Repeat. Then put it on survival at 300% Intensity and brace yourself for an experience.
is gud
I don't appreciate anything they've added since the very first game, except maybe the 'desktop audio' support, since I no longer collect mp3s. The one feature I've been looking for is "everyone gets the same level when they play the same song" and as far as I can tell, it's never been considered for implementation. The interface is still a mess, visuals are horrendous and not customizable in any way. Imagine if you could tune the visuals like a winamp visualizer; throw your own image files in there for sprites and such. Still the same blinding y2k era palette, fonts and sprites. There's so much here now that interferes with a 'pure' music gaming competitive experience. Did your opponent use the same visual intensity? The same ship? The same level as you through the game's progression? Invest in the same skill points? Use any weird trick to distort or modify the desktop audio to manipulate the levels? Maybe they started their song after the intro, and used the first 20 seconds of the next track to boost their damage output at the very end of the round? Why even have a leaderboard or lock progression behind beating other players when there's all these factors to consider. I just want to know if they played through the song as well as I did. Or just disable the online features completely (there goes song identification tho). Every song dumps a random ship on you, but even if you play the same song as someone else it's not guaranteed you'll get the same stats. This game currently benefits from existing alone and unchallenged in a seriously niche market. I wish I had more options, but I'll continue to support anyone endeavoring in the 'gameplay powered by your audio' space. Get it on a sale. Thanks for reading.
