Hi' I'm Terry Sober. This game is dog faecal matter. The music is pretty good though. Most people who have thumbed this game up have played it for less than an hour, the other 3 have played it for less than 2. That's how good this game is.
My first negative VR review I'm pretty sure - I bought this game at least a month ago, maybe 6 weeks? I got it right on day one I think.. I've played 5 minutes.. yes, 5. I told the developer that the controls were so sensitive that I couldn't play it, and that the gun angles needed to be adjustable they're crazy odd for this game. He writes back says "i fix both".. I can't tell any difference. I've gone back and tried it about 3 more times over the last few updates but i ♥♥♥♥ you not I can't make it more than 10 seconds in this game. Maybe it's the pimax headset? Not sure, but he NEEDS TO ADD sliders for sensitivity and GUN ANGLE or otherwise you're just wasting your money, you've been warned! If he fixes it I'll take this off, but I paid the $20 and it's unplayable.. I missed my return window but I'd like to warn others.. I can't even say if it's fun or not it's unplayable.

Well, if you’re a parkour-lover and own a VR headset (HCT Vive, Oculus Rift or Windows Mixed Reality) you might want to check out a funky game call Beat Blaster! Beat Blaster is a VR parkour (arcade) game developed and published by Ivanovich Games and released on the Steam platform on 16th February 2019. I must say, it is the first time that I’ve played a VR game where direction is simply commanded by how you move your head around. By leaning forward, you’ll gather more speed, while leaning slightly backwards will slow you down. You can move left or right by tilting your head in either direction. It can be a bit of a shock if you are not used to this type of movement but be assured it will pass fairly quickly as your equilibrium adjusts itself. That said, it might be a good idea to remove any furniture in your vicinity to avoid any accidents while tilting a bit too far! The game has 30 levels to beat and your goal is to reach the end of the song and accumulate as many points as possible by collecting blue spheres and shooting at floating enemies, destroying moving targets and static weapons such as cannons on the floor or on the walls. The key here is to constantly move forward. Yes, you can slow down by tilting your head backward, but if you slow down a bit too much, you’ll die. The other way of dying is if you have been hit by an enemy’s projectiles or lasers, or even just by touching a wall. Each of the levels is designed with several segments, and each segment has its own obstacles to avoid and enemies to destroy. These phases can vary in length; some are rather long while others are extremely short, and they will end when you reach a door which opens onto the next segment. In some cases, the doors will open as you move towards them, while others might need a certain mechanism to open them. For example, you might need to step on a button or shoot a specific red light somewhere on the wall to open the door while you keep moving forward. It can be tricky at times, let me tell you! The levels are randomized, which gives Beat Blaster great re-playability. So far, I’ve managed to beat 15 out of the 30 levels and the difficulty has slowly increased with each subsequent level. New enemies are introduced as you move forward into the game. In my case, I now have some sort of giant floating armadillo who spits at you with invincible balls of varying sizes. The balls cannot be destroyed, but it is possible to change their direction by shooting at them. There are other fun obstacle to deal with, too, but I’ll let you discover them as you go through each song. Nice graphics and the game runs extremely well. Really cool Techno soundtrack which suits the game perfectly. It can be a bit frustrating at times, especially when you are forced to step on the fast-forward mechanism in narrow areas. Positives: ~~~~~~~ + Nice graphics + Randomized levels + Fun, funky and fast + Leader board + Great re-playability + Achievements Negatives: ~~~~~~~~ - No trading cards as yet - Can be frustrating at time Get through to the end of the song by avoiding obstacles and shooting enemies and targets In VR. Beat Blaster is fun, funky and fast! 7/10 Key provided by developer/publisher for review purposes. Any opinions expressed are entirely my own! I can't figure out any relation between my action and the beats of the music. Maybe because it's too subtle or I don't have deep enough knowledge about music. I do notice that some traps move corresponded to the music, which is a nice little touch. Levels are randomly generated and surprisingly well paced. The difficulty feels right and I constantly feel challenged without too frustrated. The game prevent you from going backward, which is quite unnecessary since it also has a countdown timer to stress player to move forward. The unique locomotion system, which moves player based on the HMD's offset, fits very well to the fast-pace gameplay. It's intuitive once you know the logic, and I can see the advantage of less VR-sickness and easier dual-wielding pistols. It's harder to control at low speed but it's also a right amount of extra challenge.
It's really janky, movement styles are meh. I got used to it enough to beat a level or two but just get beatsaber or pistol whip, they're way better execution. Only got this because I saw a reddit post and wanted to support indie devs. Oof was I burned on that
An interesting take on the rythm genre. Its made well, enjoyed the locomotion and all, and while I havn't played it for that long I do sort of feel like it has very little replay value because there's no "reason" to be beating levels or getting high scores other then the score itself. You end a level then start back at home. It unlocks another level, which I believe are procedurally generated, but ultimately the audio doesn't really have much bearing on the actual gameplay. You shoot and collect some or all of the targets but ultimately if you've played one level then you've played them all and you just start over again. The game itself is the kind of quality I have come to expect from this dev (makers of the excelent operation Operation Warcade, but for $20 I feel this is priced very high for whats there currently. I will give it the thumbs up here but for those purchasing I think $10 or $15 would be a better price point and you should probably wait for a sale.
For the price , this game offers unique gameplay that was really engaging and thrilling! Here is my review about it! https://youtu.be/fiarQGvJwsQ
Virtual Reality Arcade A virtual reality blast em up arcade is what comes to mind when I play the game! the feel of the controls to the graphics are like one huge reference to the feeling of going into an arcade. Gameplay was fun, and the over all pace was just amazing! If I had to say something negative about it, the only downside to the gamer for me is death by wall. Death by wall with oculus is possibly the hardest thing to avoid, but other than that. Love the game!
Also alles viel viel zu schnell.
