About

Beasts of Bermuda is a multiplayer survival game in which the player is a dinosaur or other prehistoric creature. A player can take the role of flyers, swimmers, herbivores, carnivores, and semi-aquatic creatures that fulfill different niches in the ecosystem. No matter what the player chooses to be, the objective of the game is to survive and grow up on the islands of Bermuda by using their particular creature's abilities. Predation from other players as well as intense environmental events are the antagonistic forces in the game the player must survive against.
There are currently three game modes in Beasts of Bermuda.

In Free Roam game mode the player selects a creature of choice and spawns into the world as a juvenile of that species. They must survive and gradually grow larger over time. As growth accumulates, they also earn talents, which can be spent to enhance different aspects of your creature's capabilities. In this mode growth is slower but resource management is easier.
In Life Cycle game mode the player selects a creature and spawns into the world as a juvenile of that species. You must survive and grow larger in a fast paced growth setting. As growth accumulates, you will earn talents to enhance different aspects of your creature's capabilities. After 1.32 growth you can choose to enter a stage called Gauntlet, where the difficulty of the game increases with growth in the form of food, water, and ailment management. In this mode growth is faster but resource management is harder. Compete on a monthly leaderboard to earn the top growth ranking for your species!
In Combat game mode players are pitted against one another with mechanics that are designed to reward conflict. Servers can use Deathmatch Maps which are smaller with close together spawn locations. The player spawns in as an adult creature of their choice and can accrue more talent points by killing other players and stealing their points. The game mode is endless and uses points and kill/death ratios to show who reigns supreme on the server.

In all my years of playing this game, there has always been toxicity in nearly any game involving PvP which is normal, I've racked up 6,327 hours in this game, I've dealt with my fair share of toxicity from people as well. Though the game isn't what it used to be, the Dev team have become very biased towards their player base and aggressive as well in ways involving words taken down posts, comments, and even banning player's who do not agree with them or state the facts of the game. We all know gaming and coding is very difficult and its hard to please everyone, but with things surfacing involving Zoophillia artwork and beastiality. There was even a discord server created for this with members of the Dev team on it, like I mentioned already "Toxic favoritism, unprofessional behavior in regards of negative reviews (to which mine will most likely be deleted and reported as the Dev/owner Predatoria has done before to other negative reviewers) and the earlier mention of beastiality and zoophillia artwork in a discord server. I truly loved this game at a point, and I hate to see the downfall of this, it is simply not what it used to be, along with harboring special skins that even previous members a very selected few do not play the game any more most likely due to those following reasons. There is a X thread posted with all the evidence as well and I honestly am disgusted as someone who has special skins and calls and abilities to gain and do things, has partook in this disgusting behavior. I can not even say with a heavy heart that I won't be continuing to play the game due to the heavy amount of evidence, multiple server owner's, revealing everything to the public, this game is no longer really safe to even remotely to enjoy and the game has been dying for a while now. In my 6,327 hours of playing, I've never been more disappointed in a game Dev team and the owner disrespecting its community members, and blatantly telling them things such as "Sucks but thats our answer" "♥♥♥♥ you all" when they do not want to fix things as easy as doing a roll back for official servers due to something that caused players to lose their skins and special skins completely. There is many more to it as well but this is where I stand at currently and probably for a while.

Unfortunately in its current state and direction, the game is borderline unplayable. I’d happily change that statement if there's progress but hope can only go so far until you’re burnt out trying to play this game. Dinosaur Roster: They do offer quite a few unique and beautifully modeled creatures with a range of interesting abilities. The balancing for newer playables is slow and painful process will lose the average player many hours especially hard to find tutorials. As a new player you will have to rely on kinder parts of the community or discord servers to learn many of their core gameplay. Servers: There is no option to play a single player version of this game or host your own private server so you’ve two options: The official servers, of which have the intended gameplay, are mostly empty due to being unstable and performing poorly. The core gameplay loop aside, expect a partially full if not nearly full server to crash constantly due to bad weather (Core game survival aspect) people exploiting several game bugs that are left unpatched for years, and just because it just feels like it. There are several community servers that you can join with maybe better server stability and available Admins but they are forced to work around very rigid aspects of the game which causes a lot of unneeded extra time, effort, and people available to bridge that. Skin Customization: They offer a complex unique skin system that no other dinosaur simulation has. Though, like many parts of this game, it is incredibly glitchy with the only solid documentation being from community players. Many skins even from new models suffer from broken layers and have been for years with a skin system no Dev on the team is familiar with anymore. EA Feedback, Bug reporting: There’s feedback/Bug reporting channels in the Official Discord that many players take time out of their day to post with as much information available. Unfortunately, the whole bug fixing is a total mystery as most of the staff are told to not provide any details aside from linking a ‘No ETAs’. Many horrible gamebreaking bugs have been there for years and feedback is almost entirely ignored. Final thoughts: While I can and have stomached through a lot of the bug and gameplay issues I cannot keep recommending a game where the Devs ignore, lie, and poorly treat the majority of their community. Do better.
Bad coding and stupid "fixes" that break the game for the entire player base.
Game has an immense amount of issues and even more so does the community and devs. You can buy this game and play it, but expect to get screwed over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over for months and or years until you just can not take it anymore and leave. I tried and I mean I did everything except buy the cheats. I practiced and practiced I got really good at pvp on many dinos but it will never be enough. It's impossible to compete with gangs of cheaters who also have people on the inside to cover for them. More toxic community than on rust and my god there are some truly mentally ill people here. I don't mean crash out mentally ill I mean like pedo stalker mentally ill. Some of the people on here have made me more uncomfortable than i've ever been in my life (29yrs) The game has been around for a long time and the communities don't change so if you think you're going to join any server and get fair treatment you will be wrong. Honestly man the people that made this game do not care about you in the slightest. This game was a rug pull that just kept on giving. If you want to be cheated, ganged up on, and abused by everyone around you then this is the place for you.
Love this Game, Honesty, Was a bit hesitant after looking at the reviews, But I was reassured by a buddy half of them are whining. So I got the Game, and began playing. After playing for around 8 hours, I can say that I am LOVING IT, its not a dead game like people want it to be, while it doesn't have 1000's of players, it doesn't need to be. I see 100s of people on it cross servers on at all hours of the day. While there are some things that could be better, I have been having a lot of fun with my friends. Make your own decisions, don't like a single review fix your view, give it a try if you want. 7/10 would recommend getting. (On Sale.)
long time PoT/Isle player here. BoB is great. Ignore the negative reviews and just play the game! it speaks for itself. If youve played either Pot or TheIsle or both you will see exactly what I mean. After only a few hours Im fairly certain BoB is gonna have the most hours played out of the 3! Now i gtg do some mad grinding on BoB. Wish me Luck!
dont ever play this game, EVER.
This game has zero balance what so ever. A Velosiraptor the size of a parakeet can kill a more than full grown adult rex. Its total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and why only about 500 people play this game. its why it gets hacked so much. The developers are idiots.
I have been an avid player on Beasts of Bermuda for over several years now. I have bought multiple accounts for this game and even ended up getting a laptop so I could also run BoB if I went anywhere or use it as an alt. I also helped run a server for a couple years on this god forsaken game. So I have plenty of time and experience when I write this review. Do I recommend this game? No Why? Well if you want a game from a Dev who thinks their artists and others who help work on the game deserve nothing, if you want a game that has so much fluff but no bug fixing, a game with mediocre levels of security, a game where skins matter more than players, a game where you can sit and absolutely do nothing for hours, a game with LITERAL game breaking mechanics, a game with LITERAL ear bleeding sounds, and honestly no content for months with little sneak peaks, not to mention in 7+ years of development. Go for it! This game was great at the start of me playing. I found chill servers to be best to help me understand the game mechanics but then I never left them. So as someone who didn't even technically play the game "the right way" you should head my warning. This game may look like fun and seem like it has great content but stay away from this afk dino sim. Bugs that have been in the game for literal years have still gone unfixed and unoptimized. This game is FULL of random files that just bloat up your pc because "spaghetti code". The lead dev barely listens to any of the player base and mostly the donors and whoever fills his ear with sweet nothings. This game has so much potential and it's wasted on a person who cannot manage a team nor seem to be able to run such a small company. If you want an "indie dev" who tells you "sucks to suck" when you lose something from THEIR OWN PATCH, this is the game for you! This game has been stuck in EA since before it even hit steam, so do not be fooled into thinking "It will eventually get out of EA" because I thought that way and look where I stand today. This game needs an entire recode and a new dev who understands criticism and not someone looking for bootlickers who tell them the new patch is great. Please do not waste your money on this ♥♥♥♥ game. The dev literally does not care for the game anymore. He just goes off on vacation all the time and screws with the teams money.
