About

Beasts of Bermuda is a multiplayer survival game in which the player is a dinosaur or other prehistoric creature. A player can take the role of flyers, swimmers, herbivores, carnivores, and semi-aquatic creatures that fulfill different niches in the ecosystem. No matter what the player chooses to be, the objective of the game is to survive and grow up on the islands of Bermuda by using their particular creature's abilities. Predation from other players as well as intense environmental events are the antagonistic forces in the game the player must survive against.
There are currently three game modes in Beasts of Bermuda.

In Free Roam game mode the player selects a creature of choice and spawns into the world as a juvenile of that species. They must survive and gradually grow larger over time. As growth accumulates, they also earn talents, which can be spent to enhance different aspects of your creature's capabilities. In this mode growth is slower but resource management is easier.
In Life Cycle game mode the player selects a creature and spawns into the world as a juvenile of that species. You must survive and grow larger in a fast paced growth setting. As growth accumulates, you will earn talents to enhance different aspects of your creature's capabilities. After 1.32 growth you can choose to enter a stage called Gauntlet, where the difficulty of the game increases with growth in the form of food, water, and ailment management. In this mode growth is faster but resource management is harder. Compete on a monthly leaderboard to earn the top growth ranking for your species!
In Combat game mode players are pitted against one another with mechanics that are designed to reward conflict. Servers can use Deathmatch Maps which are smaller with close together spawn locations. The player spawns in as an adult creature of their choice and can accrue more talent points by killing other players and stealing their points. The game mode is endless and uses points and kill/death ratios to show who reigns supreme on the server.

the only good thing about this game is the snake, if it didnt have the snake it wouldnt have half the playerbase. servers are run by adult-children that will cry if you do anything they dont like physics are A$$ fighting is A$$ graphics are 5/10 i tried to like this game but its hard when there are so many better options for dino survival games. oh and hackers are alive and well and it seems like they could care less about it.
The primary game dev, Predatoria, is god ♥♥♥♥ awful. Game is... alright. Limit your financial support to him.

Man, RIP if my friends (who also used to play this) see this review knowing how much fun it used to be But, honestly, as someone who bought this game back in 2020, or somewhere around the 2020 timeframe, it's been depressing to see how the playerbase has dwindled due to it stagnating. The entire thing is just one massive grindfest, only really rewarding the people who have the time to sit with the game open for hours on end. Inherits are a grind, skins are a grind, growth is a grind. The growth is probably the worst part, given every playable is on automatic permadeath. You can lose a dinosaur you've grown for a year in a matter of seconds because someone else has more time to sink into it, or because they're just legit hacking. It's also just... Boring. I think I can count on my fingers how many notable mechanics this game has. It genuinely feels as if the developers have given up on this project. I don't know if they just lost hope or got busy or what, but this is NOT worth spending your money on. I used to have a lot of fun with the game, primarily because my friends would play it too, but since there's nothing to draw people back (and I mean nothing at all), it's just a husk of what it was at it's peak of popularity. Just play Path of Titans. You won't permanently lose an insanely huge playable due to unfair advantage and it has more to do other than sit around and grow.
Grew for several long, excruciating hours on a heavy PVP server to get a 3.2 Utahraptor. Finally had a good build going... and then the game killed me with a lightning strike in the 10 seconds I stepped out from under my rock to eat an auroraceratops AI. I resurrected at 0.67, a mere 0.27 larger than a fresh spawn. If you value your time, I implore you to look elsewhere. This game does not.
Way better than The Isle, the devs respect your time, there aren't bugs that delete your dinosaur for no reason, the environment changes, weather effects, floods, ponds can dry up, wild fires can spread, even tornados that effect the environment.. insanely good game, best weather system of any dinosaur survival game, and as a game in general.
This is a good game in general, but usually the most fun ive had is with other players. it can be tedious if your by yourself, especially as a solo Small dinosaur.
Crazy unrealistic jumping physics... other than that.. wait yeah that...
More PVP than survival. Only servers that have players is US server. Player base is mostly minors. Extremely toxic playerbase. Source code was recently leaked. Yeah not alot going for it except DINOSAURS which is always cool. Also truly baffling design choices, the biggest threat to a fully grown adult T rex are juvenile and other small dinos, like wtf? On US servers the regular players sit in discord killing everyone else so only they get to actually play as aquatics. Its fun I guess but doubt it will ever reach a modicum of success.
