What webcam do I need for the Beam Eye Tracker?
For most users, a standard 720p webcam, built-in or external, is a cost-effective and instant option. It offers solid performance and simple setup at 30 FPS. You can also use free apps that turn your phone into a webcam.
Test the Demo first. Make sure you are happy with the app before buying any hardware. If the demo does not run, contact us for help.
Does the Beam Eye Tracker work with glasses?
Yes. Most users with glasses have no issues. Strong prescriptions or glare from lenses can reduce accuracy slightly, and thick frames may block your eyes at certain angles. If that happens, try positioning your webcam below the monitor instead of above it.
Try the Demo first to see how it works with your glasses.
How do I set up the Beam Eye Tracker with my game?
Most games work automatically. Start the Beam Eye Tracker, launch your game, and the in-game camera will respond to your head and eye movements. A few games (like Star Citizen, F1, and Farming Simulator) need a quick in-game setting change. Check the game setup guides for game-specific instructions.
Does the app collect biometric data?
No, the Beam Eye Tracker does not generate or store any biometric data.

Works perfect with my older phone

As a Simulator Maintenance Technician for the USARMY, I love this game. The realism is better than some of the sims we operate.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

As a returning DCS (Digital Combat Simulator) player, I knew having a way to track my head would be important but didn't want to spend a bunch on hardware. Beam is a really fair price and I figured was worth the risk. Turns out, I didn't even need to risk anything because they have a handy 2 hour demo. Unfortunately it wasn't long enough for me to really tune things but enough to let me know it would work. So, how well does it work. Let me first say I'm using this on a very old Logitech C920 webcam. Second, I fly a C-130 in DCS. Why does those two things matter? Well, you'll notice right away the reaction / latency time of movements can be sluggish. This maybe because of my old hardware or maybe I've not tuned things well enough. But it would heavily restrict me flying a fighter jet with the need of quick reaction time needed to stay alive. For the most part the camera picks up well enough in a dark room with a bright monitor or in my case, large TV. However, if the content you're playing becomes dark you'll need a light on in your room to track any movement. Eye tracking is something I turned off, so I can't talk much about that. The head tracking works well enough, though some angles can cause it to freak out. For me, I've become use to the sluggish nature of it and don't really mind it anymore and use it anytime I play DCS. I can easily recommend it, though it may not work for everyone. With a free trial and a low entry level cost. I think it's worth a try.
Absolute garbage for Star Citizen.
