Beak the hunter

Very entretaining game. Had a chance of play it during the testing phase and have to admit I spent great deal of time playing it. The thing that strikes out the most, besides the awesomely cute graphics, is how hard it is at first. I mean, you must have a great deal of patience and perserverance during these boss fights, as well as with some of the regular monsters, but the feeling after beating them its incredibly satisfying. Moreover, there's tons of options to customize and evolve the main character as you proceed in the game, which prevents it to ever become boring. I had a blast playing it so I couldn't recommend it enough.

“Beak The Hunter” é um jogos indie que me surpreendeu pela forma como mistura simplicidade e ambição dentro de um projeto claramente pessoal. Desenvolvido pelo estúdio português Sweeping Avalanche Creations, o jogo assume-se como um monster hunting 2D com toques de metroidvania e uma curva de dificuldade que não deixa dúvidas quanto às inspirações souls-like. I like this game. All of it is drawn by the artist, giving it a great and original environment. It's a monster hunter type game, with a hint of hollow knight to it... But it still has it's own unique idea. The game mechanics is awsome - one can get right into to the game, it's easy to get connected to the main character and one starts with a challenge. The game puts it simple: the tutorial is here if you need it, now take the map and go get it! I also have to say that I started the game and had to get like, 11 missions done. It calls to you, "one more". The music needs its own section of comments - its amazing. The boss music, when it hits - very cool! Love - Recommend!

Beak the Hunter is an absolute gem. From the moment the game starts, its hand-drawn 2D art and atmospheric soundtrack create a world that’s both charming and intense. The combat feels smooth and rewarding, with just the right balance between challenge and fairness. Every monster encounter feels unique, and the customization options let you build your character in genuinely fun ways. What surprised me the most is how addictive the exploration is, every new area feels alive and filled with secrets. For an indie title, the level of polish is remarkable. If you enjoy action RPGs, souls like or monster-hunting games, this one is a must-play.

2D is refreshing! Makes me wanna get my old drawings from when I was a kid. Love the fact that I have to "Hit" the other characters to get something from them. It reminds of that guy that slaps everyone on the way! Hilarious - recommended.
