I am old enough to remember the classic arcade version so an obvious purchase for me. But even without that I would still recommend this especially if you have a VR headset. Straight forward shooter with some looting and upgrades.

The epitome of an arcade game. Its absurdly high price represents the number of quarters you would have burned on it trying to learn to cope with the harsh difficulty spike from normal to hard. There are some things that could be better about it, and sadly no mod support to make that happen, but its a solid game.
Aesthetically okay but doesn't hit the same as Tank Universal. Main gameplay mode is a really ill-considered "roguelike" thing with boring upgrades. "Boss" zones are absolutely awful and take forever. Classic mode feels rotten with two analog sticks. Just completely unappealing except for the 2000AD bobble heads and even those are just kind of depressing in their own way
So yeah, I like the game and don't regret my buy. It feels good. But before you buy, you should know that the "tank" doesn't move like a tank. Left and right don't make the tank pivot, instead it slides sideways, strafing like any fps. I wouldn't call that a "tank game", I'm a bit disappointed by this. But the game is still cool.
