Man, this game is AMAZING! It looks good, it plays better, nice story, lots of weapons and mechs. I enjoyed the game very much.
Simply an outstanding game that delivers exciting turn‑based combat, mighty Mechs (and plenty of them), engaging ship and crew management, good mission variety, and a genuinely immersive story campaign. Still an easy recommendation for sci‑fi and strategy fans in 2026.
It is fine, 126h to beat the game, DLC are completley not worth. Lack of images and concept art in DELUXE DIGITAL version preety lame. 7/10
Damn good game. Screw PDX for not making a sequel.
I don't know that I've ever played a video game adaptation of a tabletop wargame that so thoroughly and accurately reflects the source game. The mechanics of this game are straight out of the BattleTech rulebook, giving me a BattleTech fix when I don't have time to break out my models. As a Mac user, I also love that it runs natively in MacOS.
Was in the market for a turn-based game with a story and gameplay I could get behind. This was absolutely it. This is one of those games that you can look up 20 minutes later and realize 6 hours had passed. While the storyline itself is fairly short, the in-between is really the meat and potatoes of this game. Leveling Mechs and Warriors, gaining and building new Mechs and re-equipping them with new weapons and equipment... There's so much to do that you could spend a few hundred hours just ignoring the story. At $40, its worth it. On sale, its a no-brainer.
I have spent so much time playing this game it would be a crime fi I did not spend a few minutes to recommend this to anyone considering buying it. There are all sorts of mods out there and that is a good things but I really enjoy the base game with the campaign which is great I have replayed it at least three times. The career mode is even more addictive. If you give this game a chance you will be rewarded

great better with roguetech
Pretty good version of Battletech. Doesn't strictly play like the tabletop game but captures the feel of the game quite well.
