I don't like giving negative reviews, ill change if this ever happens but PLEASE add a way to earn coins and diamonds in single player mode. The chances of me being able to join party games is rare. I am writing this review for the SOLO players and the fans who watched the Single Player mode of the game that the girls played! reasons being: 1. I live in a different country so if distance is a problem then ill never find a lobby 2. I don't have friends awake at the time I am able to play. 3. lonely if you add more ability to unlock character in Solo mode for Solo players I will happily change my review! But its unfortunate that I'll never be able to unlock anything in this current stage of the game.
Can't recommend on its current state right now, The game is full of bugs. It is a very fun concept though
Enjoying this game quite a bit actually, I've done a few party mode games (
Such as collect the diamonds, staying in the middle of the stage, defeat the Shubangelion, etc.
) Despite some of those modes maybe needing some reworking on the points scoring and some ping issues, I could see this being a great Hololive party game with friends! I also tried the singleplayer mode which can be tough and may need some fixing at certain areas but I've had fun going through that as well! Hololive/10, I see a lot of potential for this game!
Game has severe connectivity issues, dev has basically abandoned the game after posting one message about failed expectations and taken no feedback since then. Cover needs to filter out these types of devs that are only looking for a cash grab that preys on the fans. This game is not worth a single penny.
Bought the game for a friend to play the other modes and as of this time, I still feel like this game should be in early access. The single-player mode is fun and challenging for all parts except the first area before you reach the office, with the occasional bug. Coop mode has levels that get more difficult to a point with Amelias' and Noels' fan levels being the hardest to complete. Also wish that after completion of the coop mode level, the fans show up in the lobby office instead of just a wearable hat. Party mode is needs a lot of polish. The scoring system both during the game and when the game finishes need more balancing with some deaths being VERY punishing in certain games where other it is pointless. Some games need a slight rework like the office with the golden Yagoo and Shubangelion. When carrying the Yagoo, the player holding it should be slowed down allowing for players to catch up to the player holding it. Shubangelion needs a cooldown timer after every attack as their hitbox is their legs which move during attacks and the shockwaves push back both players and weapons making scoring or clearing difficult. A fever mode that increases points during the final 30 seconds of the party game to allow catchup and close finishes would also make it more fun. Character powerups also need balancing and some fixing. Gura's for example isn't nearly strong enough compared to flare's with her rubber floaty having less knockback than the normal melee attack, less range than others and doesn't protect her besides from ground pound. Kiara's work great in Coop mode because of the respawn effect but bosses can just knock the egg off the stage. Sora's from what I have tested doesn't have the intended effect of freezing players but gives them a inverted colour screen. Couldn't try the other characters since I didn't have enough currency. Hope the next big update addresses at least some of these issues
I felt bad for the developer after reading all the bad reviews. I no longer feel bad for the developer.
HoloRun is a cute and relatively simple party-game style experience featuring Hololive talents. There's not many to choose from just yet (3期生 and Myth), but it seems more talents will be added sometime in the somewhat near future. HoloRun, on the whole, is a blast if you've got a group of buddies to play with (the singleplayer is interesting but multiplayer is where it shines). The release is a little bit rough for now but the game has a lot of potential to be really great once some bugs are ironed out, and some network issues are fixed.
Barely functional online and game has seemingly been abandoned, absolutely do not buy until they start doing some updates to make the game more functional
Simple game, a little buggy, but seems like the dev apologized and is rapid fire patching issues immediately, which is more dedication and speed than some major studios so good on them! Honestly for £5 it's a great amount of content, especially once the multiplayer gets fixed, it could be a fun party game.
