Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
Full disclosure: I got this game free from the Steam Curator program. I did not play it for 1.8 hours. I think I idled for about 1 hour of that play period. So I didn't finish the game, which is something I would normally do when I get a game on the Steam Curator program as I feel it is my obligation to fully experience the game before I can review it. Which is weird, because I don't feel the same way when I purchase a game. I feel when I buy a game I can review it on my first impression of the game, before getting past the 2 hour mark of no return. In any event, there's a reason why I am reviewing the game after playing it for only about 45-50 minutes. That's because I couldn't get past a level/wave because of a game breaking-bug which prevented me from progressing. I tried several attempts to get past the bridge crossing level, to no avail as each time I would eventually lose my axe weapon. Without a weapon, you can't attack and kill the mobs necessary to get past the bridge. This happened repeatedly. I have no idea why you can lose your weapon. Once you grab a weapon or shield, they should stick to your hands. But instead, touching grip loses grip of your weapon. Now, I am certain I did not touch grip and still the axe would go flying out of my hand eventually after a number of swings. I tried different ways to swing my weapon to prevent it, but it would eventually happen each time. Even before that game-breaking bug, however, I wasn't really having fun. The graphics are mediocre at best. But the core gameplay is clunky. Combat just never felt fluid or satisfying, despite the different weapons used. The variety of goblins was nice (and later the fire golems), but taking them down never felt fun. The animations were off too. I would see goblins float in the air after climbing up to where you were standing. The death animations looked funny. When you would shoot your gun, it just never looked right. You could only tell you hit your target because the goblin would fall flat on the ground. This game feels like it's in alpha stage. I know it's Early Access, but it's too buggy at this point for anyone to enjoy. It's like we're beta (really alpha) testers and paying for the privilege. No thanks! I know $7.99 USD is not a lot, but if you're buying this game you're banking on the dev really improving this game a lot between now and it's final release. We all know what usually happens to most EA games so I woudln't count on that improvement with a game released on EA with this many issues. Rate 4/10. Only buy if you really believe this game will be much better in the future. And dev please comment on my post if you've updated the game to a level where you think I would change my mind about your game. I would love to change my review to positive, but please don't comment unless you've made a serious update to this game. I have more games (that I paid for) than time at this point.

"Battle for Mountain Throne" is a badly made VR exclusive wave survival shooter/brawler. You're in a room, and waves of samey goblins come at you, so you kill them with various medieval weapons with your VR controllers. Ok. It's badly made, with many reports of extremely bad hit detection, bad physics, bad everything. I wouldn't be surprised if this is an asset flip, it seems unlikely a developer would allocate so much time and money developing very nice looking game assets only to slap them onto a barely working tech demo/minimum viable product/shovelware cash grab like this. The game is very simplistic, small and limited in scope and ambition. This feels more like a tech demo, proof of concept or student homework assignment rather than a fully fledged product designed for PC gamers. As such it doesn't offer any real value as a serious PC game. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes the game great is the VR, then the game isn't great at all. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 2 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? "Battle for Mountain Throne" has the gamer gouging price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
sadece Vr mod için aksiyon macera oyunu çizimler kötü vr için daha gerçekçi olmalı
It is barely a game. Also impossible last (?) level under the throne.

Overview: it`s like there is a Game, but it isn`t :) - move and positioning is too limited - graphics could do a lot better - physics sort of 2/10 - something that should be Very High for such a game! - for explosions, only sounds works - here is the thing, weapons cannot be properly used to enjoy fighting: enemy is either too close and nothing happens Or is at distance and not much interactive results
Difficult to control, sometimes weapon disappeared. Boring and repetitive. Not recommended.
