There is an element to this game that I wish was in all other war-games. That is the fact that you must use your very own judgement and skill to score hits, not a randomly generated number. LOVE that. Its enjoyable, this game, and fills a niche for a war-gamer . The cons are I don't know what the Sepp Dietrich's sausage shorts hell I am doing in the campaign. I wish they would upgrade graphics. ON a unrelated note. DO YOU realize , you steamy fanatics that a large portion of these game developers are getting away with not finishing games by releasing most everything 'early access? IT's a real rip and a cop-out, especially when you have games people play long after their release and they never are completed, the same crap for eternity. Just a thought.SEESH!!
You'll have to realize that the game just stops working, must be uninstalled, reinstalled repeatedly. It just quits working at random times. I've tried to get help from the developer with no success. When it works it's fun, but don't plan on being able to finish a game or campaign. It's very frustrating.
If you enjoy winning play as the German tanks.
While it was easier to gauge distance in the original 'Battle Fleet', it was IMPOSSIBLE to judge distance in this ground battle version!!! For such tank combat games, I strongly recommend the designers would add tick marks in 10 meters increment because it was impossible to try and judge the distance of a target when all I had to work with was the half and max distance circles!!! What the hell is near 1/3 of 125 when the targets were much smaller than a battleship!!!? I played a quick battle and even when my own tank was near a couple of tank length distance from the enemy, I was still unable to input the correct distance for my shots. At two shots per turn, I was unable to score any hits while the computer would consistently score even if not by the first shot. It sure was a quick battle as all my tanks got wiped out simply because I couldn't judge the distance of any of my shots. If a future update does not include a revised shot distance interface, I will surely be returning this game to Stream within 24 hours! I served as commander for a tank unit in real life and this is probably the most frustrating and unplayable game; I believe it could be a great turn based tank battle game if the shot distance issue have been rectified; for not, this is NOT playable unless I wanted to treat myself to a session of pure frustration! The way it is right now, I cannot recommend it to anyone even for free.
Great strategy and action game. Quick action with results
A fun take on World War 2 armored combat. Infantry is only abstractly represented but the armor is spot on. Not a simulator but a fun, easy to learn tank battle game.
It is not a very good game. The gameplay is Boring, the AI is non existing, It take ages just to move your tanks, so don't spend money on this on.
its fun as hell for me at least adjusting the range , movment, just fun. Also got it on sale for $5.99 which was fair.
Although the game isn't gonna win any awards - It is exactly what it says it is. If you go into it with the right expectations - you will enjoy the game play. It's a great boredom / time filler when you wanna game without all the mental gymnastics/drama.
A worse version of battle fleet 2. Just get bf2 instead, and if you already have it then you've played this.
