About
Shrot is a bite-sized old-school action RTS set on a sandy planet with horses, tractors and techno music.
The game draws inspiration from Paranoia, a Czech remake of Dune 2 and the third real-time strategy game ever made, released only in the Czech Republic in 1995. Shrot changes the formula by adding a mix of modern features and leaning towards faster, more action-packed gameplay.

I am a simple man, I see a game by Spytihněv and I buy it.
As much as I love the premise of Czech Dune RTS game and the core gameplay in single player is somewhat fine i must say that LAN/Multiplayer side of the game needs more love. There is NO way of adding bots to the game, there are no options where you want to start in a map, there is no option to adjust hops and oil density only the option in which mission you want to start. And also the LAN "desynchronises" a lot making an obnoxious noise. Any way to make the game recuperate the desyncronisation or easier yet just adding the option to turn off the "desync" noise would be nice
Love it, really made me feel how much i miss RTS as a whole. Classic gameplay, good music, soft voice telling you that harvesters is under attack. What else you can want
The game is great, and I love the old school simplicity of it all. The difficulty is right where it should be. Be patient and build up your defenses, be ready for many false starts, but when you finally get established that's when it becomes very satisfying. Many old rts games played out this way, victory thru the battle of attrition.
A modern tribute to the games Dune and Paranoia
Nostalgic trip to the 90ties with specific CZ humor
If you loved Dune 2 this is a must play.
Jakožto člověk, co má odehráno přes 1000 hodin na AoE (Age Of Emipres). + rychlé, snadné ovládání (jen myší), spuštění, ukončení hry, bez jakýchkoliv zbytečností, dlouhých a častých loadingů, tak jak to u starších her většinou bývalo
A retro-styled in the same vein as mid-90s classics like Command & Conquer and Dune II, this is a fun and challenging game from the dev who made the excellent boomer shooter HROT. instead of Tiberium or spice, you harvest hops while amassing your armies. It has the standard RTS elements of building and defending your base while strategizing your attack plan on the enemy, but with the added twist of horses. A fun throwback that should appeal to anyone nostalgic for the old days of the genre.
Very faithful remake of Paranoia (itself clone of Dune), with many quality of life improvements and few additions that extend the gameplay without breaking the feel of the original. I loved Paranoia as a kid, and I'm glad I got to play Shrot.
