While what drew me to this game was it drawn-art style, the game presents a well balanced mix of action, for monster hunting and ingredient collecting, and cooking game, using a match-3 cooking mechanics. It is surprisingly engaging and work well alongside the monster-hunting gameplay. The story is enjoyable and the cast is likable, even if the premise of saving the world through cooking feels weird...

Este es un gran juego que siento que ha pasado desapercibido. Imagina que tienes a Boss Monster y a Ironchef teniendo un romance y este es el fruto de ello. Es un platformer muy dinamico y un puzle muy entretenido. Todo ello aderezado con una historia muy entretenida y unos personajes muy peculiares. Graficamente esta precioso, me gusta el estilo de los personajes. El hecho de que no solo tengas que cazar tus ingredientes, sino que tambien tienes que apañartelas para crear platillos muy bien puntuados y encima satisfacer los gustos de los jueces en los combates de chefs, hacen de esta una gran experincia. Yo me lleve una gran sorpresa cuando lo descubri. Y espero que quien llegue a este juego, aun despues de casi 10 años, tambien le guste.

We have a main course being a puzzle game with an interesting take on the match 3 formula. A sprinkle of decent, though sometimes a bit wonky, combat. A decent serving of an interesting world, sauced up with a beautiful hand drawn art. And a side of, well, an interesting cast of side characters. All of this coming together for a nice and delectable feast. I'm not a fan of match 3 games but the loop of getting ingredients (combat) in order to cook (match 3) makes it a nice balance between the two. Having these two aspects of gameplay with only a limited time per match, makes for a slight challenge in time management. I felt like the writing was also okay, nothing to write home about. But it did make me care for our cast of characters at the very least. And the worldbuilding, though very surface level, was also intriguing enough. The inclusion of voice acting also definitely made the characters come to life, as well as the beautiful hand drawn art. Overall, the whole package does come together quite nicely.

Great game! Would buy again if I could. I will be sharing it with all my friends :)

one of the most underrated indie games of the last decade. i still regularly come back to this almost 9 years later to just mess around with free play or the daily challenge. shame this wasn't bigger or got a sequel.

直到通关我也没想明白一件事：这游戏到底是不是用flash做的？ 土，太土了，从剧情到审美全都是乡村大舞台级别的土——美国的村也是村，游玩体验无限接近于被迫连刷100个精神小伙的花手视频。除此之外整个系统也是完全的依托答辩，战斗手感稀烂，流程严重注水，煞有介事画了个大地图结果就只有两个活动区域谁看了不笑恐怕是有抑郁症。建议各个互联网大厂不要再搞什么压力面试了，直接拿这游戏困难难度给候选人玩半小时，不红温的绝对抗压能力爆表。 操作更可怕，自从4399的时代过去以后我还是头一次见到用右手移动左手战斗的游戏，我甚至怀疑这玩意就是做出来猎杀动作游戏玩家的，毫不夸张地说，80%的时间里我都在痛苦地和自己的肌肉记忆作斗争，没体会过大脑和手打架的朋友有福了，走过路过不要错过。
