"Bastion" and "Frontier" are both high-traffic single-word searches on Steam, and this listing surfaces on page one of both. A generic-sounding compound name isn't a branding failure here; it's a discoverability strategy. The $40 USD price tag isn't real either. The game regularly goes on sale at 95% off, putting the actual transaction price near $2. That price serves two functions: it inflates the visible discount badge during sales for anyone scanning without checking the final number, and it sets a high nominal value for certain resale bundles — explaining reviews that call the price "reasonable" despite having paid a fraction of it. Most damning: this game has no lore. The only in-game text is flat unit descriptions.
