SUUUCH fun game to play with friends!!
Are there little things to nitpick that aren't perfect? Probably. Does walking out of the very first door on the very first floor and getting squished by a boulder crush your soul and happiness? Absolutely. Is it literally the only first-person roguelite RPG dungeon crawler with a minecraft look? Yup. Very fun, and one of a kind. This game is what minecraft wants to be when it grows up.
Had lots of technical issues with this game that, despite enjoying it, make it hard to come back to. Done a lot of troubleshooting based on faqs and posts in the discussions section, but most are either semi-resolved or still an issue. Kind of annoying to have to tweak game launch settings, system settings, and generally have to trial-and-error the game rather than the devs build these fixes into the game themselves. Issues I've had include: Crashing, controllers not being picked-up properly (and subsequent player order issues with split-screen), HDR breaking (either washed out or super dark, with closing and re-opening program and switching between windowed and full screen like a roulette wheel until it works), general full-screen and windowing screen size issues, a weird screen flashing bug that occasionally causes the screen to quickly flicker for a few seconds intermittently, and more. I've basically had all the issues listed in the faq with some fixes only seeming to help slightly or cause an unexpected add on effect. So again, if the issues are well documented, why not fix them? It took most of my 2 hour playtime to end up with a single uninterrupted short play session, and on top of that the game is obviously pretty difficult which would be easier to stomach if I was able to play it more smoothly to get through the learning curve. The issues are concerning and disappointing given it still seems to be getting active support and *paid* DLC. Maybe some modernising and quality control could be prioritised over the next round of paid content?
Good game to play with friends
I bought this game because it supports local split-screen with two controllers, and from the videos it looked really fun and interesting. Unfortunately, once I started playing, I had a hard time understanding what I was supposed to do. I get that the main goal is to fight your way through the levels and eventually defeat the boss, but the game doesn't really explain its mechanics. The enemies feel very strong from the start, and overall the gameplay seemed a bit chaotic to me. That said, this is just my personal experience. I can definitely see why some people would enjoy it, especially if they're into challenging roguelikes. It just wasn't the right game for me.
Actual good and fun game, super fun solo, even better with friends, the only thing that i found to be negative was the fact that once you reach higher levels and get around floor 9 to 12 you kind of start blasting everything on your way without giving it much thoughts, i wish the game can keep its deadly side at higher levels, you can also see it in the trailer all the deaths are at very low level
eu fiz meu personagem, entrei na masmorra, fiquei perdido e morri para um rato, fiz outro personagem e morri de fome, dps morri pra uma pedra, e em outra vez para uma sucubbos. JOGAÇO da porra.
thank 🥚
Simple, brutal and lots of fun. I haven't tried playing with friends yet but in solo mode I love the seeing how far I can get on a run. Great class/race combos but the randomness of drops pushes you to adapt to what you have until you can find what you want.
