Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 24.86/day in the week to Jul 31 → 18.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Fun and Challenging
Barony is really simple on paper... It's just any other traditional Roguelike like Rogue, Nethack or Shattered Pixel Dungeon, but with the added element of real time combat and a first person perspective. These simple changes though make the game SO much more interesting than most other traditional roguelikes! it's chaotic, fun with friends and a challenging experience solo with an absolutely metric ton of variety between all the classes, races, and replayability across all it's secrets, equipment, and other random variables that alter between each seed. I think my favorite parts of Barony though are in it's class fantasy, when you play as a sneaky Rogue, you *feel* like a Rogue, when you cast spells you *feel* like a Wizard, class roles also compliment eachother very well so multiplayer party compositions always feel significant. Absolutely incredible distinction between all them! The soundtrack and atmosphere are top notch, the depth to the game's mechanics is immesurable, they even have workshop support! They have it all! I am hopelessly addicted to Barony. This game is incredible. I'd say this game is worth it even at full price, but for the love of god, you have no excuse when it goes on sale for like $3 cad like it did last sale. Grab your friends, take up your arms, and brave the lich's lair!

It's like 3D Nethack. It has pretty deep gameplay though not as much variety as the roguelikes of old. Still a solid game with many avenues to powerful builds. It's kept updated and the DLC monster races seem fun. If you like classic Dungeon Crawlers you'll love this
Im the kind of person who played minecraft with keep inventory no matter what, and religiously defended it. So hopefully yall can understand me when i say this game isn't very frustrating if at all. it has basically NO friction with it's systems, even if they feel kinda simple it's a nice game you dont have to think too hard about and can just have fun with. I get upset at some stupid deaths, but i can easily just restart or play again later. But it still feels consistent too, i've been able to guess (even with such little playtime) when stuff would happen, and can get a feel for when and where danger is. So in other words once you're good enough it can 100% just be a game where you go on autopilot with while you chat with friends in a vc.
This game is amazing but the best way to play is to go fast otherwise the game will be extremely slow and you'll probably get bored fast. If you do want to play slow, DLCs 1 and 2 have goatman/brewer and automaton/mechanist. I have over 100 hours on the epic games version because it was free there.
Complete blast to play with friends, very in depth, steep learning curve. Love it.
