skeleton hot
Me and my friend found this game on the "Is it woke?" website and bought it since it was cheap, best decision of our life. The characters are well designed, the writing is just amazing and we had fun voicing the characters out loud. Can't forget the hot skeleton, wish we could give him another smooch, but i'll guess we will have to wait for the next campaign meeting,...
This is a pretty cute game. I think that's the best word to describe this. If you're expecting deep complex characters, this isn't it, but it was charming and funny enough that I had a smile on my face for (most) of the time. One in game achievement (there aren't any Steam ones but there are internal ones) kind of got me bummed but it should've. To be honest, I kind of want to see and do more in this quaint setting, but for a 2 dollar game (as I write this) not on sale, I'd say its worth the price of admission for what it is. If they made a sequel or some other sort of continuation (Bard Harder: Dragon my Heart Around?) I'd get it. There's only two flaws I can find in this game. One is just its kind of hard to actually intentionally get a "Game Over" screen. You'd have to frick it up on purpose to do so. It's supposed to be the final boss, it shouldn't be too easy to win, but it is. Game telegraphs it in plenty of time for you to take it in, digest it, and then when it gives you choices its not too hard to put two and two and get four. Second issue is directly related to the first: I'm surprised the in game achievements didn't have one for intentionally bombing. It just feels odd, that there's something you can entirely do, and you could go out of your way to do, but there's not really any incentive to do so. I'm also not sure if its intentional, but I got some very strange flashbacks to the ending of the Phantom of the Opera novel. If you read the book, you know what specific things I'm referring to. About 50% of the same warm fuzzies, 100% less of the tragic heartbreak. Make of it what you will.
OMG IT'S SO CUTE
This game is very cute and has awesome story-telling. My only wish is that it was longer; perhaps there will be a sequel in the future? Who knows. This game is worth the money and is very fun to play! :)
A cute little visual novel - seriously little, you can finish it around one hour. But if you like VNs and/or tabletop RPGs, or perhaps the trailer caught your attention, then you will have a lot of fun with this one. There's nothing too difficult, you get a lot of information to work with and he correct options are pretty obvious. But the story is funny, the characters are all likeable, there's good music (a must for the bard) and the two-level story taking place in the game world as well as at the table has a nice moral to carry with you from this. What I mean is, even if you don't have maxed out charisma like the cutest, flirtiest, most dashing-est Bard in all the lands, you can still listen to what people are saying, pay attention to the little details, and then show them you truly, genuinely appreciate them. There's no secret to this, it simply has to come from your heart. And that's why this game gets a thumbs up from me. To all the bards out there, when you come against the BBEG, you know what to do... Bard Harder.
SO CUTE??? And paying attention actually matters, but it's short and sweet, and... honestly I need more :(( that is the only thing. I kind of do want to see how Robin's PC's relationship ends up being like, and also Robin and the WM's thing, like please???? Anyway, looking forward to see what the creators do next, and might come back and play it again, but I enjoyed it as it was so far :)
Sympa et original mais peut-être un peu trop rapide !
"Seduce me." "You?" "Seduce me." "What? I ain't gonna-" "BARD HARDER!"
