Barbie™ Horse Trails

This game is NOT worth $40. If it was $10 then I would recommend it, but cannot at the current price. The main story took a little under 2 hours to complete, which is not enough content for the price. I understand it's Barbie, but when you are competing with games at this price point the game has to be better. I liked the dress up aspect, and that you can customize your horse. You cannot customize your character--you pick one of two options, which was disappointing. Having the ability to customize your own barbie would be really cute. I did like the representation of different skin tones and abilities. If that was incorporated into character customization that would really set this apart from other games. This is a cute and simple game, and if you are interested I would wait until it's got a big discount, because it's just not worth $40 for me.

graphics are not up to standards for a $40 game. some characters sound like their lines were recorded on a laptop, which when in a conversation with them, ruins the dialog. horse movements using wasd are okay, but should be more fluid. the running mechanic doesnt feel like running, and looks like some weird fortnite move. map is small for what markets itself as an open world game. that being said, i love barbie and you ride a horse. barbie horse adventure for the xbox was better, but its nice being able to play on a laptop.

My 5 year old loves it, but for 40 bucks you get like 3 hours of gameplay story, the lamest graphics I have seen in a game for a quite some time (feels actually like a 2002 game) and a constant object pop-in on a 4080 RTX. It feels, sounds a looks like a minimum viable product mostly. I have seen better games that were done using automatic generators in free game engines...

Ну а если серьезно, это просто нелепая игра для детей, созданная просто чтобы доить бренд, в ней нет ничего особенного, это просто гриндилка в открытом мире на пару часов, но думаю детям понравится.

My daughter absolutely loves this game and make her this happy it was worth the price but I did get it on sale but still she was amazingly happy and loves this game graphics are great for what it is I knew the graphics looked like when I got it and playing it at 4K with everything on high looked amazing for my daughter. the quality of this game is embarassing, we meet a character named Ranger Quinn and her lines sounds like theyve been recorded on a phone in a bathroom.

In my opinion, the Barbie games have gotten better recently. Compared to the Dreamhouse Adventures game that was originally an app and then ported to console, Horse Trails and Project Friendship are a huge step up. I like the mix of side quests and main story so you can pick and choose what you want to do next. I tend to steer off from the main story pretty quickly when I game, I enjoy side quests and soaking in the overall vibe in the world. Horse trails is really cozy. The world feels very warm and inviting, you get to care for your horse, take pictures, quest and do races, etc. To me this feels like a fun summer adventure, and I don't feel the game is too childish either (even though it's obviously meant for kids). I've seen that some think it was a short game, I can't say anything about that as I haven't gotten very far into the main story yet. But considering, again, this is a game meant for kids, it's understandable the stories in games like these aren't too long since they need to hold kids attention. But if it's anything close to Project Friendship in length, I think that's plenty of content for this kind of game. Plus doing side quests extends the gameplay too. So yes, I do think this game is worth playing. :) If you enjoy cozy exploration and light quests, this one fits right in.

I feel like it needs more content but I do enjoy the game! It is cute and the horse has a ton of customization. I wish we could have customized our own Barbie and I wish we were able to ride different horses besides Lucky.
