Balloon Chair Death Match

This game is such a ridiculous concept but the gameplay is a ton of fun. The joy of shooting someone's balloons and watching them plummet to the ground is hard to beat. The balloon and air mechanic add strategy as you can add more balloons on the fly. This adds to the excitement when you blow a balloon up in time right before you splat on the pavement. I'd like to see a little TLC on the chair controls and some various guns/power-ups but the overall concept of this game is superb! All it needs now is some more people to give it a shot!

So.... I got the game for free. I really do not want to give this game a bad review but based on it's price and in it's current state it's not worth the money...and it's all due to multiplayer (which is the bane of many VR titles right now)! First the pros. The general game play mecanics work. Left hand to fly and inflate balloons, right hand to shoot. It's simple, it works and it works well. The challenge mode is fun and gives you a nice feel of flying around the air over a futueristic city! Visually the game is nothing special (compared to other games) but it's bright, clear and has no visual issues. Now the cons. Once you've done the challenge's you're reliant on other players for multi player....and there are none. This is why I have no choice but to give it a negative review. I'm aware that the dev gave out over a thousand free keys to kickstart the game yesterday but 24 hours later no one is playing it seems. There's also an issue with seat placement. The game badly needs a recenter view option. However...the game is still early access and this review could easily swing to a positive. If there is focus on a single player campaign then this game will well be worth the money. Here and now though, if you buy it, you're likely to end up refunding it.

I've really thought about this review and I'm going to recommend it, BUT with a big huge asterisk! This game has a great idea and I really respect the developers tried something different. It plays well and is simple. The immersion is also very very good! Graphics are nice, sound design is good too. The way the controls are done are good fun :D ... HOWEVER..! You may note my playtime being only 30 minutes and it will be very unlikely to be any higher. This game is incredibly nauseating for me. I can cope with non teleportation locomotion, but this really turns my stomach. The movement makes my head spin and I feel motion sick within only a few minutes of play it. So, with this said, if you can stomach it, it's a good fun little game and worth the current £2.89 asking price for sure. Especially if you're a VR owner with kids - they'd most likely find this very fun.

For $15 dollars I can get a Thai hooker to blow up a balloon only using her vagina, that is worth $15. This is not, it's boring after a couple of minutes and MP is dead. Save your money for Vagina balloon blowing Thai hookers and not this.

This could be an absolute hoot other people but $15 is probably a good price point for the game at this stage. The graphics are good, there's a sense of flying around a city suspended by balloons and there wasn't any motion sickness. The biggest problems as others have mentioned is a lack of other players. This game needs bots, at least until there's a decent player base. I know the devs have plans for pickups, environments, weapons etc - this is EA after all but it can't happen fast enough.

Sometimes the simplest of games are the most fun....

This is a solid game and I really enjoy it. The Devs are very active in improving the game and now that there are a few challenges and multiplayer bots with good AI I can recommend this game for purchase. Looking forward to see where this gem ends up.
