Blender Games,
Good game.
Extremely frustrating, touch the wall and die-game!
Baff 2
Yes, this game is frustrating. Yes, you touch the wall and you die. Yes, it's a click and drag game. Yes, Playboy copied someone else's review just to up their review count and hasn't done a legit review since... Damn, I went to their last review page with their oldest reviews and still found them to be copy-pastas of someone else's review... Nevertheless, welcome to that genre of game. The scary maze game but without the scary, the game genre with the ever so lovely PUSS! game. Isn't it marvellous? This game has everyone hyped and simultaneously annoyed at how finicky the game is, and while I don't blame them, I do think that those aren't worthy of a bad review. Pros: - The game works. - I like white and black basic colour schemes. - "Intuitive" controls. (Basically my mouse moves extremely accordingly to my shaky hands) - Graphics are clean and well presented, I know what everything is. - The goal is made clear, the timer is made clear, the diamond you need to exit the level is made clear. Everything is very easily identifiable. - Everything has nice little animations, I love attention to detail and little unneeded extras which just make things nice. Cons: - The "intuitiveness" of the mouse means that you need to be exceedingly accurate, which I'm not. - The timer is really short, and leaves almost no room for slipping up (This is really a neutral point for me, but I don't do neutral points, so it's going here.) - Not a great range of in-game music. - The object that you have to navigate through the levels is a little cumbersome, which adds to the challenge, but you're mere pixels away from the walls most of the time. Overall, this game is actually fine. It's obviously not meant to be easy. Repetitive music, frustratingly responsive mouse, thicc eyeball... Everything to make this game more of a challenge, as if it didn't have this, you couldn't get all those in under an hour... Wait.. You just need to press keyboard keys to get the achievements? Well, whatever.. It's the scary maze game without scares. If that interests you, give it a shot. It's certainly not my type of game, but I can acknowledge that it's a good game despite how salty it has everyone. And while you're at it, give an honest review, because by golly this game needs some legit reviews to let people know whether to buy this game or not. -click and drag game where the walls kill you, nothing new here -achvment whoring -same song on loop -timer that kills you when it end so No room for error
Weird scaling on ultra-wide resolution makes the game a chore to play. It features super-narrow passageways that you will hit if you so much as breathe while you are playing, at least at my resolution. Mouse control is twitchy, will jump randomly across the screen or lag, features odd acceleration, and is incredibly imprecise for a game that requires precision. You also have to drag-and-hold the eyeball to move it, making moving with precision all that more difficult. The hit box is insane, and appears to actually be a square around the eyeball you're controlling (as well as anything else that's round or non-square...just treat everything like a square), so you'll constantly have to start over from cheap deaths. Oh, and it's all on a timer, so while you're wrestling with all of this frustrating control and lack of precision, you have to push yourself to rush through it in order to beat the timer or -- you guessed it -- start the level all over. Oh, and the 15-second song loop will have you muting the game by the third level. It might have been a fun game if the walls weren't instant death, and instead there were interestingly-designed levels where you just needed to dodge the actual obstacles. But, they went with the everything-kills-you design, so instead of fun, it's just consistently frustrating given the twitchy controls/acceleration/hit boxes. TLDR: this game has horrible control, horrible hit boxes, and horrible music. The game is horrible.
This should've been the first BAFF game as it was quite easier compared to the first. A lot of areas are bigger to travel through and there are less time sensitive/long lengths of travel. The stark white background versus the black background of the last game was rather annoying though. Would've been nice to have a toggle for that. Completed it in just under 30 minutes.
