I would say that this game has 3 main issues. Bugs, fielding, and price. Paying 40 dollars for this little amount of game is kinda insane. I understand that you have to pay people put when you can get the OGs for 10 dollars I would recommend those over this. Fielding feels like a 50/50 chance they do the right thing or just fail around, not to mention that it is basically impossible to get 2 people out on one play now because they can't throw as hard as they did before. The bugs in this game just hurt. Stuff like visuals are kind of sad to see from a game that cost 40 dollars. You are paying for the whole of the Backyard Sports catalog for simple stuff that any play tester would have seen. Not to mention that there is a kid that when she bats the ball disappears and gets a free homerun. I just feel that they should have waited and put more polish on it so that it could be maybe worth the price but I think that in general this game even at best should be 20 dollars. So far I am having fun but I am feeling frustrated at the game half the time. Luckily I had a gift card so I didn't really spend anything but still. I would wait for online and see when they fix a lot of these gameplay issues.

It was a fun game overall, I can create a custom kid and build the character similar to Aaron Judge's skills. I played the 01 title and it was a breeze to adjust in terms of gameplay.

Great start to the game, I’m excited for online play. Some enhancements need to be made though. Every player “kid” in the game seems to have the power to hit a home run basically every at bat. Pitching doesn’t seem to matter with location and pitch type. Base running is a bit of an issue too. If you hit a line drive to right field or center it makes it so you can still be thrown out at first or 2nd if you have a runner on. If they can make those tweaks it’s going to make the game even better long term.

The game is really fun and perfectly captures the charm of the original titles from '97 and '01. It’s just as enjoyable as the originals. On the plus side, it’s exactly the kind of new installment I had hoped for; having recently replayed the older games, this feels like a fantastic successor to the series. Sure, there are plenty of brilliant ideas for how to expand on a sequel like this—such as adding new levels with creative designs—but as it stands, it’s a superb successor. You can really sense the love and passion for the classic games here, as well as the care the developers put into creating this title. Plus, the developers really listen to the community regarding bugs and areas for improvement. While I understand they can't grant every single wish, they’ll likely incorporate that feedback into future games. There isn't much negative to say about my experience playing it. There were a few bugs here and there, but it seems the developers have already fixed many of them. You can really tell the developers want to create the game that so many fans have been wishing for. In the eight-plus hours I’ve played so far, I’ve had a blast—and I think that’s what matters most. A huge thank you to the developers and everyone involved in bringing back such a great game from the past. I love every single character in the game; they’re all fantastic—just as they were back then! So, thanks again for this game.
