Reviews
ok ok this game is SO fun. but for 40$ it something. But there is new good game modes to play. I played the 1997 version on the switch and I LOVED it. So seeing this come out made me more exiced. So I think this is a great game to play.

Enjoyable and easy to pick up. It brings back the nostalgia of the original with great visuals and fun gameplay. I think it will really be worth the price once online multiplayer is added. Legend Pablo for the win!
Just like the old games!!!
The spirit of Backyard Sports is here. The story behind the lady that made all this possible is, to say the least, interesting; check it out if you have not. The game has solid bones - it is a lot of fun. I have not played many hours as of writing this review, but I have run into several bugs and have gripes about the way certain mechanics work and/or are implemented. That said, this game has the spirit. It brought me back to when I played BB 2001, and the unpredictable-ness (should be a word) that playing a backyard title entails. It is evident this game was made with a lot of love and appreciation for the original series. I just hope that the devs doctor up the issues and possibly get some content additions. If you want pro players, some are here and it's awesome to see their inclusion. Well done to the devs and to Lindsay Barnett - I love what is here and can't wait to see what the future holds. The IP is clearly in good hands - Mandáme una buena
This game brings back the trills of the oringinal game, watch out for glitches though.
it is fun to play
best game ever
Very fun for all ages but price is a little steep for what is offered (8/10) I've played the game enough to have completed a first playthrough and will be starting a Backyard Legend playthrough very soon. I love the game and what the team have done with not only the legacy of Backyard Sports but with sports game as a whole. I didn't grow up with the games but like many have watched the boom of Backyard Baseball across YouTube but its everything the game should be: It's fun, its relaxing and I see how it evokes nostalgia. Replayability is one aspect I look for in games to make sure I get my moneys worth and having a locked hardest difficulty is great. With my love for the game, I do wish to see it succeed and there are few areas that can be improved: 1. While I love how there are no micro-transactions to be found in game, I like many others found the price of $60 AUD to be on the more expensive side. While in a world where games have bumped up their prices, I feel as if Backyard Sports as a game for all ages should also thrive on the accessibility, allowing everyone to have fun! Possibly lowering the pirice to $40-45AUD I think is more justifiable. 2. There are few bugs in game to do with audio overlapping where multiple characters are speaking over the top of each other or environmental collisions occuring mulitple times. I would also love to have a dedicated play-off/tournment mode where 16 teams compete to win, allowing an in between option if players want to compete in a longer game-mode but can't dedicate time to the league games (just on my wish list).
