About
BACKROOMS: LIMINAL ESCAPE is a VHS-style horror game set in the eerie liminal spaces of the Backrooms. Featuring stunning photorealistic graphics and intense, engaging gameplay, it delivers a thrilling and immersive experience.
Unlike a typical Backrooms walking simulator, BACKROOMS: LIMINAL ESCAPE keeps you on edge with moments where you’ll need to run, hide, stay silent, and more to survive.
Explore a wide variety of maps, each carefully crafted to stay true to Backrooms lore. Every level adds depth to the mystery and horror of these haunting liminal spaces. You can also disable the VHS effect for an entirely different game.
Additionally, the game has a 'No Entity' option for players who want to explore the 12 different levels without any scares. (This option is available in the Extras section of the main menu.)

(Last Update) After realising the dev is indeed trying to make the game better, I have to say is a good start. The game, once again, looks awesome. There's nothing bad there, but, again, the camera shake is still there. I'm trying to understand also how is it that you as dev don't see it? The option to remove it does not work, at all. It only makes the character stop shaking while standing and I'm referring to the walking and running motions. There should be no motions at all. I know this looks like a good idea to make the game more realistic but it doesn't. In real life, you do not sense this shaking, otherwise everyone would be throwing their guts out every 5 minutes. Make the camera stay put while running and walk. That's it. And remove the picture of that YouTuber because it does break immersion. Other than that the game is perfect and that is why I'm not refunding it. Again, remove head motions completely, either standing, walking, running. And hide the picture of the YouTuber like a easter egg. (Update) The game seems to have been updated to remove at least a bit of headmotion, and yes, it was, while the main character is standing...Still horrible while he runs or walks. (1st Review) In the extra section of the game it mentions button C to disable camera shake and button C again, to disable VHS filters, which I found weird but couldn't help but smile, since I thought I finally found a Backrooms game that doesn't force me to play as a drunken sailor man, high off his boots, but, my happiness didn't last long, button C doesn't disable anything and after pressing every button I discovered button P is the one that removes VHS filters. So, despite wanting to enjoy this, it's a huge no. And while supposedly this one did had the option to remove such a curse from the game, it seems it was more of an afterthought than a real implementation, taken in consideration a player base that cannot deal with headbob or fish eye view, (who the hell thought this is a good idea?).Its a shame, that in this day and age, devs have to be constantly reminded that some effects, like head bob or camera shake can make people seriously ill. And while that still happens Ill start to give a negative review to any game that doesn't give option to remove those effects. Something else I noticed is the painting of CaseOh, YouTuber I've never heard of, and even if I had, and even if it's the devs favourite YouTuber, why have it in every level? I'm sorry is this a horror game or such an asset flip that it does not matter if that painting retracts from the horror vibe as long as we have our 2 second spotlight... Remove the painting or hide like an easter egg, hard to find. (I'll change my review if and when this option is added.)
