so far best backrooms yet man keep up the great work
This game had a decent amount of potential, but it was completely overshadowed by the complete reliance on unreal store assets; with very scripted and shallow gameplay. 2.5 years later, and the game still does not have a liminal mode, with entire levels removed from the next fest 2022 demo. The game is hard to see anything in, with the pixelation filter being way too harsh and no way to turn it off. Since its latest update, one of the last levels is currently not possible to progress through, a shame. Even for 8 dollars, this does not provide enough original gameplay or ideas to the table; on top of it not being finished and full of paid assets. It's truly a shame. I wouldn't recommend you buy this game.
I really wanted to like this game, but unfortunately it's just a glorified puzzle game. Hopefully if liminal mode gets added, it'll change my mind on the game. But right now, I think I'm fine with quitting before finishing the game. I can see the effort that went into the game, I really did enjoy the visuals and traveling through some of my favorite levels, but a backrooms game needs to be more than this. I wouldn't mind the puzzles if there was just more. On a side note though, I may just be picky because I haven't really found a backrooms game that does it "right" in my opinion yet. Can't really rate the game as a whole since I didn't finish it but I'd say its maybe a 5/10. For me, it's carried by its nice visuals, but that most likely won't appeal to anyone else much.
I didn't like this game. Got sick of starting levels over and over and trying to solve puzzles with a screen so blurry it was like trying to see through the end of thick milk bottles. There was meant to be a liminal mode but just says coming soon. Been like that for months. i simply got too bored to continue. If liminal mode actually comes out and is worth playing, I may review but, for now, it's a no from me.
One of my top five Backrooms games on steam. i really enjoy this one, good items, great graffics, nice maps etc. 8/10
More like Backrooms the puzzle game. 4/10
This is just a mediocre puzzle game with jump scares and with a backrooms theme (which is the complete opposite intrigue of the backrooms imo). If that's for you then I'm sure you'll like it other wise just wait for the " liminal mode" which will be a standalone f2p game where you can actually just explore the backrooms and find ways to escape according to the dev. This is a prime example for steam horror shovel ware.
there are a few bugs, but overall, this game is amazing
cool game
