The core loop is simple but effective: you push your cart down dim hallways, clean up trash, mop dirty floors, restock towels, and make beds while the world around you slowly stops feeling normal. The mundane tasks are the hook—because every time you go through another routine room, you’re just waiting for something to be off: a door that shouldn’t be open, a sound at the end of the corridor, a figure in the corner of your eye. Atmosphere is where The Housekeeper really shines. The hotel is quiet in all the wrong ways: echoing footsteps, distant thuds, and subtle audio cues that constantly make you second-guess whether you’re actually alone.
