Been a player in the Axis League since 2022. This version does have some nice improvements, but there are some unusual "features" (bugs?). The kicking team is consistently offsides will no penalty. And the penalties seem to come is waves with many all at once and then the referees just seem to disappear. If I am leading with under 2:00 minutes to play and the other team scores, there is no kickoff, giving me a chance to run the clock out. Instead, the opponent gets the ball back at their own 28 with 4th down. If my defense stops them, great, I get the ball on the turnover on downs deep in their territory. If they convert 4th down, they get another 4 downs. Weird. Otherwise, graphics are pretty good, more realistic blocking and tackling, noticeable especially on pass defending. Player trades improved. Axis traditional "rubberbanding" is still present, so sometimes your defense is just worthless and your receivers hands turn to stone no matter what you do. As always you just say "Oh well, they were supposed to score no matter what," and try to run my score up more. Nearly every football SIM I've played has it's quirks, this one is no different. Overall, pretty good game, especially for the price.
I really wanted to like this game, but the Steam Controller doesn't work with it.
It's pretty deep, looks aren't the best, we know that, but it has depth and the coaching mode is fun, you can edit just about everything, even spending money on upkeep. i really like it
It scratches that football itch just fine, and you don't need an EA account. If you want a decent football game that isn't EA, this is the one.
i like coach mode its okay 6/10
Nevermind.
its good
AWESOME!
Good game. particularly if you like modding and coaching. It goes without saying, but game physics are not Madden Level but it makes up for it in modablity. This is a game i would buy if on sale,
there is one major fault in this game, the QB can't read a coverage and throw to the open WR/TE
