Reviews
I have played every Axis & Allies board game, and enjoyed all of them. This 1942 version with the online screen is a big swing and miss. You can't have the same overview you have in the board game; it is difficult to see the entire arena and examine it between (or even during) a turn. Loading and unloading transports is not straightfoward, and I keep getting "illegal move" indicators from things I routinely did in the board game versions. If you have never played an A&A board game, maybe you will like this. I do not.
Game constantly crashes, odds stacked against you. You'll spend hours building up a play, just to have the game glitch and not allow it, forcing a reload that doesn't solve anything.

Not even slightly addictive - Trust me and get in the van. Really though - Simple game, still got a lot of players of varied skill level. Occasional crashing due to code being basic - I'd recommend picking it up on sale at least if you are at all interested in the game.
20 games, 20 losses as allies. Can't adjust difficulty. Can't perform research, ie heavy bombers. If I don't have a cruiser and destroyer with each transport planes or subs swarm and sink everything. Loved board game with friends. I'm glad I only spent $10 on this. I've tried playing multiple countries as a human, every game results in a resounding loss.
16 tanks, 12 men, 3 artillery, 7 planes walk into a bar and attack 9 men, 3 tanks, 2 artillery, and 2 AA guns. The AA guns get 3 hits. The 12 attacking men get zero hits. The defending units get more hits in the 1st round of combat then the attacking units. The attacking units get more hits with fewer units in the second round of combat. They lose 12 men , 2 artillery and 3 planes and take the territorry. Just be prepared for hilarity when playing this game because the dice produce absurd results.
Great old school table top game. I just wish it was the version that had the research rolls the 1990s pc game had.
6 tanks, and a plane can somehow be killed to just 1 guy sitting on his azz by the games rng rolls
This is so much easier than setting it up everytime IRL lol
just like the board game of old growing up....Just wish they would make a 1940 version or the version with Italy as a seporate axis power....
This game lacks many of the features of the 1941 version. There is no ANZAC / Italian and French forces. There are not research capabilities. The IPC generation and factory options are not as flexible as they could be. No strike bombers or mechanized infantry.
