Let's be real here. This is an early student game from a creator that I have no doubt has made some really nice stuff later in their career. But this just isn't it. Treating yourself as an auteur and like your games are art no one can get gets insufferable fast when you have no actual substance of a game to present past that. It would be much healthier for this person to have dealt with their depression and writers block without sensationalizing it into a game for the approval of others. That's just sugar coating your own self destructive behavior, and I honestly I too have a tendency to do that. But you can't put self-hatred on a canvas and tell everyone they need to read something something more from it than "I need help."
