a neat game that does a whole lot with very little (never has the blender default cube been so existentially frightening) a profoundly anti-human experience that makes you feel like you're just barely getting away with something tip: it seems like you're supposed to jump at the end of the game (you'll know it when you see it), and doing so will basically cause you to die 50% of the time, with no explanation why. so you lose any idea of where you're going or what you're supposed to do. just walk off the edge and the game will deposit you on the path to the ending
I love the idea behind scale of stuff like BLAME! does it. Where i find this game falls flat is simply one thing. It doesn't know if it wants be a exploration game, platformer, puzzle or a underlining horror in the surreal department. If it was just a exploration game with buildings for scale aka like BLAME!, it would be fitting but this seems more the dev got another idea in the middle of making it and thought "Hmmm i'm gonna add a chase for no reason at all! ohh and some annoying movement puzzles as well". It really falls flat. The parts where you just move around from building to building exploring is the best part of it all. The rest seems like a after thought more then anything. I generally dislike leaving negative reviews on this kinds of games, and when you look at how old it is. It seems like maybe a 2.0 would be more ideal but this is a free game.
Don't play the game if you suffer from epilepsy or neurological disorders, there are a lot of lights and shadows that can make your brain go under a lot of stress. Put the gamma brightness at top max level, otherwise you'll have difficult moments in orientation. You'll need a youtube guide for some of the riddles. Aside from these negative parts, if you love backrooms, megastructural places, labyrinths and want a light game that doesn't require a powerful pc, this game is good. You'll take a lot of screenshots and many environments will create disorientation, but if you're headstrong, you'll win this game. Not everyone can play this game, you'll need a strong mind for enduring these types of labyrinths.
Loved the scale and the Blame inspired parts were great. The rest was unbelievably tedious and irritating, I just wanted it to end.
Blame! but safer
A stunning megastructure, I highly recommend
