I can’t wait to grow old and get Alzheimer’s so that I can experience this game for the first time again and again.
This game is a work of art, please ignore the people who are leaving narrow minded comments like everything you ever experience in life is supposed to be super comfy and exciting and flashy. It bothers me deeply reading some of the main things people are criticizing are literally normal human responses and emotional realities that not everyone experiences. The game or story, more a story, is heartfelt and genuine. Not everything in life needs to be bubbly and simplistic to be enjoyable.

Self-loathing simulator. This game is "I´m 14 and this is deep". It´s like a grenade without a safety pin.
A surrealistic experience. Just it did not click for me. Existential content mostly for teens and a bit too artsy for my taste. It is a free game though.
An interactive experience about youth and it's struggles, delivered in a slightly tedious form of gaming you see in modern-media museums. You might not enjoy playing it but growing up isn't supposed to be a pleasant experience ynow. This was originally going to be a negative review but after 3 years of playing I changed my mind. Also the ladder scene and the overall visuals were nice.
Recommended by: Experiences Worth Experiencing
I usually appreciate surrealism, but this feels more like a mix of depression, chaos, and some kind of creative breakdown. The atmosphere is unsettling, and at times it feels exhausting rather than engaging. There are scenes that drag on unnecessarily, like seeing a boy in the background tear paper endlessly while you're climbing a ladder extremely slowly, or absurd sequences that seem to show nothing meaningful. It’s clear the developers aimed for something intense and unusual, but for me it ends up being more of a test of patience than a game to enjoy.
Bir yazılımcının hayalini oynadığımız güzel bir macera oyunu ben sevdim.
not something you can call a game more-so a work of art, abstract dreams that show chunks of the creators life experiences, very nice
Out of sheer curiosity and the fact that it's free, go through a young man's journey into existentialism. Not much to it though.
2.7 / 5.7 This is a hard one to write a thought to. I did enjoy it overall, but I don't really recommend it. It's at it's core an art project, a very soul bearing glimpse behind thoughts and feelings of the developer. Some of those thoughts are conveyed naturally through the depictions provided but then others I had absolutely no real context or such behind until reading the little developer commentary notes. I am in a belief and mindset that if you feel compelled and/or strongly to make something you should for artistic reason. You can find a lot about feeling, emotion or discover/improve skill through doing things even if it's been something that's been done many times by others. The difference then is what you do with it after, keeping it to look at later as a reminder, selling it or just publishing to others to see/experience. It feels like this falls more in the latter and that's overall fine but in doing so there has to be a kind of realisation of what that welcomes also. This is somewhat acknowledged as there's a dev commentary on how the internet can be harsh and uncaring toward art projects, which I somewhat agree with. I just find it then extremely pretentious to start blasting the things like the steam reviews from I guess a prior non redux version? It feels like it's an inability to take criticism; good or bad. Overall there is a lot to be said and shown for what can happen in the creative process and how real life experiences can factor in to certain aspects. But I don't feel this was the best portrayal of such. It's much more deeply personal, which is fine on the whole but as a general outside perspective of not really knowing personal experiences and especially ones that I can only empathise but not relate to. It then creates a strange feeling that I can't quite find the right words to describe. That said there are some portions and levels that have some great creative merit, The Two steps was a great one and portrayed the aimed frustration well. Ones like Frame have an interesting creative perspective but the artistic 'explanation' from the dev commentary is kind of a "why do I care then?". Also merit to portions like the secret one which I think was a gamejolt game, I forgot it's name.
