Player reviews:
VERY ADDICTIVE! I keep saying to myself 'just a few more' and, before I know it, 30 more minutes have passed.
Beautiful game! A very pleasant, easy flowing game!
Lots of jewels and weapons to collect and monsters to deal with.
Is it wrong to be in love with a game?
For me, this is perfect. Clear graphics, some fun side games...roll the dice or spin the wheel, relaxed mode is just that...and there are some great "explosions". And the dragons!!!
I am in love!
Loving the Challenge!
One of my favorite games from this developer. I hope to see more in the future. Game is challenging enough without being frustrated.
If you like very relaxed Match 3 games, this is for you. LOTS of levels to play and easy paced. I'm really enjoying the game and glad I purchased it.

Avalon Jewels is easily among the more engaging match-three puzzle games I’ve played, largely because it understands very well where satisfaction in the genre truly comes from: easily being able to create multi-gem matches, watching cascading effects unfold, levels that usually take a couple of minutes to complete, and introducing just enough mechanical variety to prevent the gameplay from becoming a repetitive grind. The game is fairly lengthy, containing 250 levels that keep things fresh due to new mechanics being added every few stages. Instead of simply increasing difficulty, subsequent levels remix these mechanics in fun ways. Most of them combine two, three, or even four mechanics at once, forcing you to constantly switch your priorities when matching gems, depending on the current setup. Therefore, each level feels unique, rather than a reskin of a previously solved layout. The game also alternates between more relaxed levels and more challenging ones that require extra planning. Some also contain fun boss battles, where the boss’s track patterns involve spawning new locked tiles every few turns. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3634939954 From a gameplay perspective, Avalon Jewels is exactly what you’d expect from the genre. Matching four or more gems creates super gems that clear rows, columns, or explode an area around them. Matching five creates diamond gems with powerful effects: when combined with a normal gem, they eliminate every gem of that color on the board; when combined with another super gem, they propagate that super effect across all gems of that color, creating chain reactions, explosions, and laser beams that are extremely satisfying to watch. Aside from the standard match-3 gameplay, there are a few extra mini-games that you can engage in: a roll-and-move dice mini-game with rewards and a fortune wheel with various prizes. Time-limited quests also exist (for example, requiring you to match a number of gems of a specific color within a set timeframe), encouraging you to play several levels in succession to meet their objectives. These extras add some fun variations to the match-3 levels, though they’re clearly secondary to the core experience. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3634939845 The weakest aspect of Avalon Jewels is its economy, which is in dire need of some balancing. There are two main currencies: coins, used to purchase power-ups, and mana, which is mainly required to access the mini-games. While there are multiple ways to earn both, the rewards remain very low throughout. Completing levels primarily grants small amounts of mana and no coins at all. Coins can be obtained only from chests, mini-games, or quests, but they rarely feel sufficient to meaningfully stock up on power-ups. As a result, power-ups feel very expensive. Over the course of the entire 250-level campaign, I was able to purchase only around 30 meaningful power-ups. In normal mode, where moves are limited, this feels very restrictive. The game does allow you to buy extra moves when you run out of them, but doing so requires spending several levels’ worth of mana just to gain five additional moves. In relaxed mode, where the moves are infinite, this is less of an issue, as you can always compensate for the lack of power-ups by creating additional matches, but even then, certain board layouts make them very much needed. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3634939934 Despite these few drawbacks, Avalon Jewels remains a great match-three game with strong mechanics and a clever level design that provides enough variety to stay interesting across its ~20h of gameplay. The core experience is extremely pleasant from start to finish, also due to the satisfying visual effects of the chain reactions and laser beams. An evil wizard living in a tower has sent many dark creatures into the forest, wreaking havoc and terror on the kingdom of Avalon. As Merlin's assistant, we'll be tasked with finding the Rainbow Jewels of Avalon, whose power can defeat enemies and save the inhabitants of the forest. This beautiful Match 3 game features 250 levels and 10 bosses to defeat. It's suitable for everyone because you can choose between two modes: Puzzle for those who love a challenge and Relaxed for those who want to have fun and complete the game. The levels are numerous but never boring because we don't just have to match symbols, but also break bookcases, collect scrolls, flowers, and caps; fill bottles, break ice, and break cages. As we play, we can open chests and collect prizes, and we can find various hints. The music is pleasant to listen to. I really liked it, it's imaginative and never repetitive, the problem is being able to stop, it's one of those games that you say one more level and that's it!!!! I have played the Avalon Solitaire 1-3 for long hundreds of hours, as well as the Seven Seas Solitaire - so this game is a "must have" for me. Just the right thing after working for 10-12 hours :)
I like relaxed colourful games with no timer, no running or jumping or fighting, so this is brilliant for me. More please :)
This seems to be a mobile "pay to proceed" game with the monetization features removed, and not done properly. So when you hit the "pay to proceed wall", you just get stuck, and it's impossible to proceed. I've aced all the levels, can't get more coins or energy, out of special tools and can't purchase more. And can't get past stage 24 in dozens of attempts. Not even close. Even if I'm technically wrong about any of this... it's just so obvious... I was a huge fan of Avalon Legends Solitaire which is why I bought this game. This is very sad.
They asked me to review this on my curator tab. It's good. It's a lot like candy crush. TBH I like this better than candy crush. probably not worth playing on PC tho but on mobile it should be good. I might get it there too. $10 might be a bit too much for a game like this though.
In terms of the general mechanics of the game, Avalon Jewels is fine. However there were two major things that constantly bugged me about it. The first is that this is clearly a mobile game that is designed for microtransactions, and although the extra payments have been stripped out, you still feel a bit pressured in playing it because it was designed that way, which is not why I get these games. The far more personally irritating thing for me though is the music. One of the couple of background soundtracks on the game is almost identical to one of the ambient soundtracks in Baldurs Gate 3, and the more I hear it, the more it irritates me. This game has a note of AI usage in it, but not for music, and that clearly isn't the case unless the game just outright copied it manually. Either way, I'm pretty sure its a copyright infringement, so I cannot give this game a positive review.
Tolles Spiel zum Zeitvertreib. Könnte noch mehr Levels vertragen. Kaufempfehlung!
