automation is fun for making dumb ideas come to life (in beamng assuming you have it)
If you actually enjoy deep-dive engineering and want a game that doesn't hold your hand or sugarcoat your failures, this is it. It’s essentially a highly detailed engine and car design simulator with a bonus tycoon minigame. Here are the best reasons I love this game: --- Realistic Engine Architecture: The engine designer doesn't let you cheat physics. If you install a manifold that suffocates the engine or throw on a massive turbo with zero bottom-end support, the game will straight up tell you it’s garbage. Watching the efficiency and torque curves react to minute tuning adjustments is incredibly satisfying. ---Enjoying Your Creation: Being able to obsess over suspension geometry, cam profiles, and weight distribution, and then immediately port that creation into a physics engine to see if it actually sets records or if it just blows up because you looked at the throttle funny is oddly satisfying too. It's got that gambling feeling to it. An early word of caution though when your car is exported into Beam NG or whatever else you can do it to, The game doesn't actually like it so you're gonna have to do a lot of post export tweaking. It’s tedious, it’s highly technical, and it will frustrate you, A LOT. Highly recommend if you like spreadsheets and mechanical realism.
