August Night

This is a really good looking game, and it is quite unsettling. No story, no directives - just a short, unnerving experience. I'd love to see this built upon, in to a full game with direction and objectives!

I don't recommend this game. There was no storyline or really point to the game. It wasn't scary either. It was also INCREDIBLY short. I think it had a lot of potential but didn't quite hit the mark.

Ich habe es nach 5 Minuten Spielzeit wieder zurückgegeben, trotz des Preises von "nur" 4€. Ja es ist atmosphärisch und bringt durch die realistische Grafik auch Stimmung. Aber leider gruselt es mich nicht im geringsten. Nur ein paar kleine Rätsel und einem Jumpscare und kann man meiner Meinung mit P.T. - Silent Hill nicht wirklich vergleichen. Habe es mir dann komplett bei YT angeschaut und hat meine Bewertung noch einmal bestätigt. Wir bräuchten mehr solcher Spiele mit so einer Grafik aber mit mehr Inhalt von Grusel, Psycho, Horror. Dann wäre es perfekt und darf dann auch gerne mehr kosten.

Reminds me of that silent hill project that was canceled way back then, P.T. just set in a different area and different hellscape.

Well, the beginning was promising but the end was lower than mediocre. I do not recommend August Night. --- Update: Changed my thumbs down review to a thumbs up. I appreciate the effort a lot that the developer put into the overhaul. Sidenote: Runs perfectly under Linux with Proton experimental
