Well, the beginning was promising but the end was lower than mediocre. I do not recommend August Night. --- Update: Changed my thumbs down review to a thumbs up. I appreciate the effort a lot that the developer put into the overhaul. Sidenote: Runs perfectly under Linux with Proton experimental

Hallo, dieses Spiel besitzt eine tolle und vielversprechende Grafik. Es ist sehr P.T. like, was ja schonmal als Fan des Genres nicht so schlecht ist. Allerdings besitzt dieses Spiel keinerlei Motivation dir die Story nahezubringen. Vielleicht sind wir der Dude am Telefon, vielleicht aber auch nicht. Dieses Spiel hat furchtbar viele Treppen und ich jetzt Muskelkater. An sich weiß ich nicht genau, was dieses Spiel von mir möchte. In Angebot mal eben okay, ansonsten eher mäh. Leider nicht so gut, dass ich es empfehlen würde.

Richtig gutes Indie - Horrorgame, mit einer Spielzeit von ca. 30 - 40 min. Es hat kleinere Rätselpassagen und kommt ohne billige Jumpscares (naja fast) aus, sondern besticht durch die Bedrückende Stimmung. Sehr nice, bin gespannt was der Entwickler noch so bringt. The game was a brief yet enjoyable horror story. I’ve played better, but I still had a good time.

Deal breaking issues: 1) Controls -- please add an option to disable the mouse smoothing.. some may like it, but it's horrific - makes you feel like your character is drunk.. 2) Interaction mechanics are the most annoying I've ever seen... no idea what you can interact with, even if you're right in front of it, and somehow you're supposed to zoom in and then try to click? Nonsense. And what's up with the remote in the bathtub? You can zoom in and press buttons, but no way to just TAKE it? The game is very pretty and well optimized, but the interaction mechanics are too annoying to play IMO.
