A relaxing and visually pretty piece of edutainment. You get to take on the form of a fish, a bird, a fox... the river itself, and there's even a section where you're a raincloud. It's like playing a mini-documentary more or less, and you can do it at whatever pace you want. If this looks at all interesting to you at all, and you have 20-30 minutes, give this one a go, it was actually pretty neat.
Most people say it’s beautiful and important. It is. But what hit me more was the feeling. You’re not a hero. You’re the river, a fish, a bird, a cloud. You stop feeling human. It’s like you’re a spirit drifting through a world where people are already gone. There’s a quiet sadness in that. A loneliness. Almost like you’re the last witness of something that once was alive. The voices feel distant, like memories stuck in the land. The minimal gameplay makes you slow down and just exist there. No goals, no upgrades — just presence. It’s short, but it left me with a strange post-human feeling, as if I had walked through the remains of humanity and become part of the landscape itself.
such a dreamy and beautiful game.
