ATONE: Heart of the Elder Tree

Excellent rhythm game with actually great music, which is basically a non-existent rarity in gaming. Shame it doesn't have more success, looking at the lack of reviews. The only rhythm game I've ever played that I would actually recommend to people. There's also actually a nice little story in it. Great stylized art as well.

Good story. animation style, and music. I was never a Guitar Hero player but enjoyed the battles nonetheless. I played on normal mode and had no problem winning the fights despite my lack of experience with that kind of play. Loved all the puzzles

Age wise, this would be aimed a bit older, because although the blood isn't red, in this game it is shown as white, there is still some blood and it deals with some tough themes. It is a very heartwarming story though. Dealing with life and loss. The visuals are such a different take, the geometric design is so cool and many are beautiful. Tying this to Norse mythology is such an interesting take! The sounds design is great! The Arena battles are quite hard! There is some great humour throughout, for example... Scoopy and all the funny little Easter eggs throughout! Also, I did not expect to get teary over a story from a squirrel! Very well written! There are is a bit of weird stutter in the wolf cut scene. And it would be nice if there was a chapter select so you don't have to play through it 4 times for the different endings. Overall, its a great game, just the Arena battle achievements are taking me a LONG time haha! 8.5/10

What a great game! I doscovered it with the OST, I pretty recomanded this game and the OST !!!!

11/10 Got this game on sale and after my first play through its more than worth the full price. I would highly recommend this game

Ambientação, arte, trilha sonora e jogabilidade de qualidade e interessanes. Só não me motivei tanto a continuar a história, estava um pouco monótono nesse quesito. Mas um ótimo jogo em geral, continuarei jogando em breve.

Interesting game that's more puzzle and story than rhythm. The main problem is that - I wonder who this would appeal to. Not me.
