It's basically the same as the previous title, including all the issues with random crashes on top. Jumps are a hit or miss, sometimes the game registers them, other times it doesn't, having clunky controls in a movement based game is like building a house without a foundation.

an environment covered in ice and snow is the excuse used in this game for the ball being all sluggish and unresponsive with unpredictable acceleration and deceleration. like in the first game you get very simple gameplay with no secrets and a single environment to play in. you can actually jump now but still no abilities and no different materials for your ball. dealing with sluggish controls, huge hitboxes and weird physics sending your ball off the track even after the slightest contact is the main reason for the game's slightly higher difficulty level when compared to the first AtmaSphere. the game even crashed once during one of the "impossible" rated levels. luckily they are not as impossible as it may sound... finishing and 100%ing the game took a little over 2 1/2 hours. very cheap during sale and good enough for a lazy afternoon. if you really like these ball pushing games you could get some fun out of it. otherwise this isn't the game you're looking for. back to my review of the first AtmaSphere game: https://steamcommunity.com/id/Meister_Leuchte/recommended/753660
I am ball 2
Atmasphere 2 expands on the original by introducing jumping, shifting the gameplay toward a 3D platformer. While this is an interesting direction, it also brings several mechanical issues. The most noticeable is the ball’s behavior on slopes: stopping on a hill results in the ball remaining perfectly still, with no natural rolling. This appears to stem from inconsistent gravity and a built‑in auto‑braking system that limits momentum. In addition, the game does not provide a landing shadow beneath the ball — a visual aid commonly used in 3D platformers, such as the Mario series, to help players judge where they will land. Without this, jumping becomes significantly more difficult than it needs to be. The result is a control scheme that feels more rigid and less intuitive than expected for a physics‑based game. Even so, the game offers enjoyable moments — just not with the level of physical realism some players might expect.
