About
It is 2138, almost a hundred years since the first generations settled on Mars. The planet is no longer just a frontier. For those born beneath its red sky, it has become home.
But when uncontrollable AI-driven robots begin to tear through the colony’s fragile order, survivors are left stranded across the surface of Mars. Meanwhile, unexpected distant orders only make the situation worse.
Asymptote is a 2D top-down rescue-survival game set on Mars, where every mission is a race against time, hostile threats, interact with various "things" on Mars and deal with unexpected situations.
Game Features:
Pilot an anti-gravity rescue craft across the surface of Mars.
Save stranded colonists before the mission window closes.
Destroy hostile robots, drones, and other threats during each run.
Loot weapons, items, gold coins, microchips, and other resources to survive longer and improve your chances.
Upgrade your craft and grow stronger across future attempts.
Unlock persistent skills through the talent tree using skill points gained by leveling up.
Use unique tools and interactions that can change how you deal with objects, enemies, and rescue situations.
Rescue different people to unlock new loot, resources, events, and possible story paths.
Make choices that may shape the ending and decide the future there.
Unlock engaging mechanisms while the game goes further and becomes harder to survive!
What begins as a mission to save survivors slowly becomes a story about loyalty, belonging, and the choices left to people caught between two worlds.
Even if a mission fails, the skills you unlock through the skill tree will stay with you for future runs.
Run by run, you will get closer to the truth behind the crisis, and closer to a final decision that could shape the fate of the people of Mars. But the closer you get, the harder it becomes to decide where you stand between duty and freedom, origin and belonging.

Good luck.

Reviews
This is an affordable top-down shooter with roguelike survival gameplay. Players pilot a UFO on Mars and must survive by collecting resources and upgrading their equipment.
The game doesn't feel easy; the enemies move really fast and there are a lot of ranged attacks. Even though I died many times, it's super addictive. It's a roguelike game where you need to constantly collect coins to upgrade your UFO and keep getting stronger, ultimately saving your fellow humans on Mars.
The Mars rescue theme is quite original. Piloting an anti-gravity shuttle to rescue survivors delivers intense pacing, and time-limited missions bring a strong sense of urgency.

Simple and refreshing 2D perspective battles, coupled with deep story choices, can be adapted to both casual and hardcore players.
This game basically stamps pure pain right on your forehead. Dying within five seconds is totally normal because the screen gets flooded with bullets that will make your eyes glaze over. I have raged so hard I almost smashed my keyboard. But weirdly enough the more you die the more you crave that retry. Once you finally figure out the patterns and weave through those flashy bullet storms the rush is absolutely insane and you just cannot stop playing.
Survivor gameplay, classic monster fighting upgrade attributes choose one from three, simple art style, fully functional, weapon effects would be even better if they were more sci-fi
The game's background is that you are piloting a UFO to rescue stranded colonists on Mars, while countless robots also hinder your actions. However, the rescue is not easy; you often fail, but there is an external growth system that lets you continuously improve yourself and become stronger.
The game is cheap and enjoyable to play, enough to pass the time. The pixel style graphics are also comfortable to watch. If you like rogue games, you can give it a try.
It's a very fun rogue game. The operation is simple, and it allows for the creation of various styles. The characters and plots within are not difficult to cultivate. Once you do so, you can fully experience the thrill of a rogue game.
A really fun little game, every move defeats a bunch of enemies, which feels super satisfying. Pretty good value for the money.
