Very good little ARPG. Needs more players to build up that shared understanding of builds
Sadly it's AI slop
As someone with a lot of Path of Exile experience, Astroloot immediately clicked with me. It feels like a streamlined sci-fi take on PoE's loot chase, skill trees, build crafting, and mapping without demanding hundreds of hours before the fun starts. I finished the entire campaign in a single 6-hour sitting and was hooked the whole way through. My build was nothing but Hunter Drones and a Plutonium Rod, turning them into sentient enemy-seeking death machines that were hitting for 10+ million damage by the final boss. Watching the build come together was incredibly satisfying. For its price, getting a complete campaign, a solid endgame transition into maps, and enough build depth to keep experimenting is more than worth it. If you're a Path of Exile fan looking for something lighter, cheaper, and surprisingly addictive, I highly recommend Astroloot.
I like this game overall, but the core gameplay just can't keep up with the massive metagame. Seeing such a huge list of upgrades looks promising at first. However, when you compare it to similar titles, the upgrades don't give you any truly exciting boosts as you progress, and they lack QOL benefits. Upgrade system of Astroloot, if you go deeper into it, is quite confusing. For example, I don't get why a "time" upgrade suddenly improves so many completely unrelated stats. The gameplay itself... it just gets repetitive. You just move and dash around a small round arena. Progression is slow, and it may take hours of grinding before you even reach the content from the gameplay video. Recommended, but I have some reservations.
nice character customisation
