About
Survive dense bullet patterns, collect medals to build your score multiplier, and charge your graze gauge by flying dangerously close to enemy fire. Spend stored energy strategically to unleash powerful spread attacks, trigger screen-clearing bombs, or slow time itself to escape impossible situations.
Designed for both casual survival play and hardcore 1CC score chasing, Astro Fighters rewards precision, routing, and risk-reward decision making across multiple difficulty levels.

Astro Fighters is designed around arcade score mastery and replayability.
Every mechanic feeds into the scoring system:
Maintain medal chains to maximize point gains
Graze enemy bullets at close range to build resources
Balance offensive power against defensive survival tools
Optimize routes and enemy clears for leaderboard efficiency
Push higher difficulties for greater score rewards
Survival alone is only the beginning. True mastery comes from learning enemy waves, perfecting routes, and maximizing score potential under relentless pressure.
Every run is a balance between survival and greed.
Do you spend graze energy defensively to survive a difficult boss pattern, or save it to maximize score potential later in the run?
Higher difficulties offer greater scoring rewards, denser enemy patterns, and increasingly demanding routing strategies for players chasing leaderboard dominance.
Astro Fighters is inspired by classic arcade STGs and modern bullet hell score attack design.
Learn enemy waves, optimize routes, master grazing patterns, and push for the perfect run.
Take on increasingly brutal stages, massive bosses, and relentless bullet storms in a game designed to reward practice, precision, and mastery.
Whether you're chasing your first clear or competing for leaderboard placement, Astro Fighters offers a deeply replayable arcade challenge for shmup fans.

WOW! Great game had lots of fun blasting through it.
Love this game!
Superb game
I would highly recommend playing this game it is fun and good to jump on when you want to have a good gaming session or even for a quick game. The Game is of good quality and very well designed and a good old arcade classic style game.
Excellent game, backgrounds and bullets pop off the screen and the game play is smooth. It is really satisfying taking down some of the faster more tricky enemies and the game was just difficult enough. Managed to complete the game and get into the top 10 scores. Hopefully will play the 2 player mode this weekend because that looks crazy good. Also you can change the colour of the player 1 and player 2 ship so it will be easier to identify who is who on screen when the chaos erupts ;-) The game is fairly cheap for the amount of game play on offer. Another hidden gem on steam!
Excellent shooter Colours really pop, graphics are very good and the sound track is awesome. Normal mode completed with the help of lots of slow motion and bullet grazing. Paid full price and definitely worth it!
Fun Game, Very similar vibes to Donpachi and galaga on steroids. Very Challenging but very fun! If you like a challenge bullet hell game pick this up!
Really enjoyed this shooter, non stop arcade style action and an absolutely banging sound track. This feels like it is ridiculously under priced at less than £5 and i can see a lot of replay potential in hunting down the top score. At this price shooter fans wont have much to complain about.... A quality game!
Really wanted to love this one because it looks and sounds great (aside from no shot noises). There's no excuse for this not playing smoothly on my computer. It's not top of the line or anything, but even at the lowest settings the graphics and gameplay are as stilted as can be. I recommend that the developer tries getting this on console and I will try it again, as I'm not buying yet another new PC Gaming computer for indie shmups like this.
#Dani
