Asteroids: Recharged

I REALLY want to love this game. Really, I do love it. But I bought it after playing the stand-up arcade version of Recharged and wanted that, and this is not that. Don't get me wrong, this is pretty good, but if you are looking for that, you won't get it.

Arcade-style game with modern twists, fun gameplay, frustrating forced power-ups, harmless asteroids, lacking online co-op.

Almost felt like i am playing Nova Drift, but UGH, this control is so bad. You can't turn like how you normally do using mouse like in Nova Drift. The Gameplay is so boring, i would rather play Cyber Hunt over this. The graphics are simple, but the controlls are trolling hard. You Don't need this game.

Is auf jeden Fall ein echter Klassiker. Macht Spaß.

Good game that follows the recharged formula. I think some of the harsh reviews are people that love the classics and will never like a remaster.

Atari isn't really Atari they are a subsidiary of a subsidiary and doesn't really have a soul anymore. That being said this games alright. If you played asteroids you know what you are getting into. You fly around and shoot rocks while trying to get a highscore. The game design is somewhere between the original and a 2005 flash game. The graphics are simple smooth and good and the music and sound is nice. The game design can be kinda weird. You have challenge missions where you can clear the screen and your just waiting for things to spawn to shoot them and it gets super boring. The arcade mode is fine but even with that they added so many power ups and you keep getting them one after the other that it becomes a little silly get shotgun power up -> immedietly get a rifle power up and then immedietly a shotgun one drops again. Overall its OK and if you already wanted this game you probabbly own it. I got the whole set for like 30$ I think that was too much. AGAIN I like the game its just you could get a similar experience from other free games.

This has got to be the best revamped classic Atari game I've played so far, even beating out Yar's Recharged, as well as all the other Recharged Atari versions, including Breakout, Centipede, Gravitar, and the rest. So much fun packed into such a small game, I love the Arcade version (which it comes in 3 separate versions) as well as the Challenge Mode, where you have to overcome certain scenarios of getting a certain score, or clear a level for the best time.. I think the sounds could be a little "punchier" when it comes to destroying the asteroids, they're more of a "crumbly cheese" sort of sound to me, and there needs to be more sound alerts for when new enemies (saucers) enter the playing field, but overall: It's a smashing success with all the replayability and fun factor ramped up to 1000.
